  • Showing $88 delivery fee for me (QLD metro) :(

    • Managed to order via C&C from a nearby store to avoid the delivery fee. Thanks OP!

      • Picked up 2 initially, tried them and really liked them. Purchased another 2. Using Suncorp rewards for 6% discount on gift cards!

  • Delivery is 88$ (Vic).

  • What the hell, $88 to deliver?? That's a hard pass

$88 delivery is not a bargain, but blatant click baiting.

Agree website UI/UX is interesting as delivery cost is not shown upfront/at a very late stage of the checkout process. Unless you check the delivery page seperately beforehand if you can find it lol.

Thank you, happily we got an amart around here, so i ordered two with store pickup.

    I trust you OP

      • WA here

      • I was able to get it for C&C at Amart Auburn, though it says it will be available in the next 3 weeks.

      • The Amart near me is closed because of the rona. Hard pass on the $88 delivery fee

Purchased the same one last time it went down to $30, have been very happy with it. Great pillow. It starts a little on the firm side, but within a week or two it becomes softer. Still holding up well though. Good quality.

I am after a very firm pillow die to a neck issue, does this soften up a great deal? Thanks in advance

      • +8

To be honest I don't have a reference point for what constitutes firm for you, so I can't give you a very accurate answer. I had a very soft memory foam pillow before this one, and this one was very firm by comparison to that one. But over time it does become softer, which shouldn't be an issue I guess if your neck very slowly gets used to it going softer over time? I don't know. It never ended up being as soft as the original memory foam pillow I had.

EDIT: Oh yeah, if you do order pickup, it does have an area where you can touch it over the plastic, you can put it flat on the counter and use the palm of your hand to press on it to check the firmness? If you don't like it, just request a refund there and then I guess.

  • Thanks, I'll give this a go I'm due for a new pillow.

    $150 delivery for two. Lol

Why the neg? The deal specifically says 'free c&c'

      $29 isnt bad

      • Was not an option for me, and the amart is just 5kms away from my house.

So no stock? What dis they say when you asked?

I called and they confirmed instantly.

          • @MasterScythe: Ah, so that was why! Well I didn't bother calling as it was close to 6 by the time I saw the post. Poor website design though for a first timer not used to their way of saying "no stock at selected store".

  • I call BS on the Gel infused stuff. Supposed to be cooler - how? The specs of gel are in the rest of the very insulative foam pillow so how could they dissipate the heat? I got a mattress topper with it and it did nothing.

    • -1

      Don't over think it.
I think the gel disperses the heat over a larger area.

      • -1

Nope. The gel is inside the pillow. It’s insulated by the pillow foam. Does nothing. It’s rubbish ‘science’. Now if they just say $29 for a memory foam pillow, ok.

        • Dump it in the fridge for a few hours before bed. You'll see

    • -5

You call BS because you've looked into it, or BS because you choose to remain ignorant?
These work by absorbing body heat from your neck and head, dispersing it across the gel layer, thus leaving you with a cool feeling. The gel layer also starts with a lower temperature than the room.
Use your Google, you'll find the research on it and how/why it works.

      • It’s gel infused, which means flecks of gel in the foam. It’s not a layer of gel which I agree may possibly do something (for a short time).

      • How does gel start at a lower temperature than the room? Some new thermodynamics trick?

  • thanks OP got 2

  • "my pillow" brand made in the USA is a very good pillow. Works great but hard to get, bought on holiday

  • Hopefully this will give me a better sleep at night. I live near an Amart and managed to get click and collect. Worth a try at $29

  • Last year it was like 5 months before they came in stock for my pick up

    • mine was 6, and i was overseas and they said they couldnt hold :)

      • Yeah their customer service was pretty garbage

        • worst than garbage, the first time they called me in that they had stock, They gave me the wrong one. Deffs knew about it as i waited for 15 mins for them to get it for me

          • +1

@sushimaster: Yes. Now I remember I had real trouble with them some time ago. Junk product from dodgy company.

  • "Due to temporary store closures, we are only able to offer delivery from your chosen store."

  • Thanks OP. Haven’t had much luck with pillows in the past few years and have always been reluctant to try these type of pillows due to cost.

Can’t go wrong to try for $29/each.

Nearest store for me was Frankston, so I ordered 2. :)

  • Kmart have these types of pillows for $29 everyday not even on special
