  • Ordered with HelloFresh the other week as I was gifted a "free" box from a friend. Before I had even tried one meal, they had charged me for the next week. I'm aware its a subscription service, but its different to how "YouFoodz" and "Light n easy" work. Just be aware if you sign up for one week to try it, quickly cancel so its not an ongoing event. I will never use this service again.

Yes, they have a "cut off" day so they can get the orders ready and prepared for delivery. I think it varies by region, but in VIC for example it's midnight on Tuesdays, it was Wednesdays midnight but due to COVID-19 it came forward. Anything not modified or cancelled will be processed then for the coming weekend. You can cancel anytime prior to that date, or you can skip dates if you've just signed up until you've tried your meals and are interested in continuing with the service. Like any subscription service, just check what the agreed billing dates are.

Whenever you make an order you need to suspend all the orders around it and then deactivate your account once you have received your order. I only ever order when I get a discount

      • Yeh good call, learned that the hard way. When I rang up they gave me 25% off but im still annoyed about it…

  • Didn't work on my deactivated account

  • Discount is 'not valid'

  • I have found Dinnerly to have fresher ingredients, though the meals are less interesting and more plain

  • I got the same discount with a different code - perhaps they're unique this time.

  • Thanks, it worked for me, the first place I tried it it said not valid, and then I found a different page with reactivate with promo code and it worked fine there.

  • Got a free box (well was $10) 4x serves x5 meals full price was $160. I calculated the ingredients to be worth around $50 and many were at their end (50% of veg had 1-2 days before needing to be chucked) and 2 Spice pack were missing. So seems like a bit of a rip off. Best to look at a recipe book and find 5 meals to use some shared ingredients then buy what you need for the supermarket.

  • If code doesn't work for you try to cancel your meal plan then go to 'my deliveries' and 'I've got a code' & put it in, should work. Didn't work for me when plan still active. Still a bit expensive, I only get when discounted

Not happy… I applied the code, selected meals and it showed the reduced price and all but now I've been charged full price and the code isn't showing for the second week either.
EDIT: Apparently glitch with promo code, have to get 25% manually refunded for both weeks. I was lucky to have noticed it on my credit card

    • added the promo code, seemed to accept and then it disappeared on the account and i had to call up.
