Hi, I'm looking for this game. It's almost 1 year old
but to my surprise it is currently selling for $88 preowned at Eb-Games.
Why is the price so high? Can it be that Australia did not get enough stock?

Days Gone is one of the most commonly stocked games around right now?
As for why EB's pre-owned prices are so high, they make their actual money off pre-owned games. Buy low, sell high.
Thanks guys.
I'll buy it for $40 (as I don't have PS plus).
I'm still surprised it is not cheaper though (after one year)
Lol try Red Dead Redemption 2,bought it in 2018 a d it's still $99.95 new at EB.
I had to pay $20 for used and it was a struggle
EB Games isn't a good price guide for anything, RDR2 is $39 brand new on Amazon
Ahh I usually pay full price with my Coles cc so I can claim in 2 years. Guess I gotta jump on the next sale price, think the lowest I saw it there was $54
@MeesusEff: Wait, I forgot about this! So when you buy even Console games, you can claim the price difference? I thought most cards are 1-3 months?
@[Deactivated]: Yup, I have the 28D and Coles mastercard plans (now not available) so I can claim 1 or 2 years later. If I buy from EB I usually use Coles as its pretty much guaranteed to be still on the shelf by 2 years.
@MeesusEff: That makes no sense, because nearly everything you buy will devalue over 12 months???
I mean you could buy anything new, and just keep claiming on it til it's no longer sold.
You sure it's 12-24 months? Im surprised it wasn't the number 1 STICKY on this forum! LOL
@[Deactivated]: Yup, coles is 2 years from same store, 28D is 1 year from any store
This is an eg of one of my notes for Coles card
Star wars Battle front 2 - $99.95
Eb Games
13.12.17 - CLAIM - $57
14.12.17 - CLAIM APPROVED - $42.95
22.07.18 - CLAIM - $28
24.07.18 - CLAIM APPROVED - $29
They don't offer the insurance to new sign ups now, prob lost a lot of money from it from Ozbargainers!
@MeesusEff: Does 28 still do it? I cancelled that card
I imagine not sale prices, but set prices? You'd have to keep track.
That's huge savings on everything you buy!
@[Deactivated]: They've both stopped offering to new customers, and even if you have the card from before but never activated it you won't be able to get it anymore.
Yeah it's a bit of a job to keep track, when I buy something that I intend to claim I'll make a quick note of the date, card, shop, item and price and I usually claim when I see it come up on Ozbargain. Can be any price, discount or clearance doesn't matter as long as it's advertised.
Got back about… $3k across my cards last year. This has become my part time job now that I'm a stay at home mum 😂
@MeesusEff: 🤣🤣❤️
I have it on my ANZ, I know price protection ones with many cards just never seen those time lengths.
I'm sure mines 3 months, but I'll have to dive in.
I'm unsure why they don't offer it anymore, they could cancel that feature anytime they want anyways.
Yeah, I only buy hard copies as at least you can sell them!
Imagine paying $24, you could sell it for $30-40 now it seems.
Just about the timing with sales.
It's just as easy to lose/scratch a physical game than it is to sell it. Digital versions are usually cheaper with online sales.
