    For reference, the Mayvers stuff is regularly on sale for $2.50 for 375g, so this deal for Bega is more expensive than that.

    Last time Bega was on sale at Cole's, it was $2.85 for 500g, which makes this deal a fair bit more pricey.

    Good if you can't find peanut butter on sale.

      how can you even compare this to the Mayvers stuff?

      One is only 85% peanuts and sugar laden, and poor tasting once you've had decent peanut butter
      The other is Mayvers
      ;)

      • +3

        Agree

        Mayvers no1

      • +4

        Pic's or Mayver's roasted tied for number 1
        Mayver's regular number 2
        Everything else number 100

        Pics numba one!

        Dick Smith Peanut Butter was #1 when it was still being sold :(

      • -4

        Yeah naah i am no fan of mayvers. It tastes a bit weird and separates quickly. There's not a huge difference in what is in Mayvers and Bega. Bega ain't some sort of peanut Nutella!

          Bega;

          Roasted Peanuts (85% Minimum), Vegetable Oils(Antioxidant(320)), Sugar, Salt

          Mayvers;

          Quite literally just peanuts..

          There's at least 15% difference.

            @ryang:

            (85% Minimum)

            At most 15% difference.

            • @banana365: You're assuming all peanuts are the same. πŸ˜‰

        • There's not a huge difference in what is in Mayvers and Bega

          They taste very different…
          Not sure how any one could taste both and think they are similar..

      • I've had both, and I prefer Bega. Sugar laden? Bega's only 4g per hundred grams more sugar than Mayvers.

        Hate the way Mayvers separates too.

        • Mayvers separate because its more pure rather than the junk some of the other ones have. The more natural / pure peanut butters does have that problem but they also sell these cover/mixer type addons for mixing it. A knife does the job well enough.

          I've had both, and I prefer Bega

          I feel sorry for you ;)

          It's also infinitely more sugar than mayvers or any other decent peanut butter :)

          • @SBOB: Do you even lift read bro? The ingredients for each are on their respective websites.

            • @rodericb:

              The ingredients for each are on their respective websites.

              yep, and 4g/100g is infinitely more than 0g

              you even maffs bro…

    Costco had Skippy smooth 2 kg for $8.99(Membership required)

      Skippy ain’t aussie

      • That's kinda ironic…

    Why is anyone making friends with the devil and buying smooth peanut butter?

    Make friends with Jesus on this fine day, and go crunchy all the way.

    • I'm guessing smooth is only for toddlers/babies. Nothing else will make sense.

      Mayvers smunchy is awesome

      Also the peanut butter with hemp seeds is OP!

      Woolworths home brand also has Chinese peanuts. I was pretty pissed off once I found out at home after I bought the thing, mostly at myself for not checking. Just assumed unfortunately.
