I have been looking for a 4K monitor for a while. This one seems to be a decent model. It has the same panel as the 27UL850. The difference between this one and 27UL850 is that 27UL850 has usb type-c and is height adjustable.

Weirdly looks like it lets you checkout. Wonder if they order it in? Or just an average website.
The difference between this one and 27UL850 is type-c and height adjustment
And in case anyone else is wondering, it's the more expensive 27UL850-W that has USB-C + is height adjustable 👍🏻
While the monitor is decent, the price isn't. Umart was selling it for $465 before the lockdown measures kicked in. Mwave and Scorptec had it for $499. They all seemed to have jacked up the price since then. But yes, probably the best price around at the moment. I failed to pull the trigger at the right time and missed out. :(
That's the glory of a messed up supply chain and messed up AUD.
Bought one on Thursday. The panel is great. Do note that you need the 27UL650 if you want height adjustment (though does have vesa mount). There is however tilt adjustment on this model. Rated top overall monitor at https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/best/monitors
Nah its the 27uk650 that was voted not the lesser dumbed down 27ul650
UL is not a dumbed down version. It is the successor. It generally regarded to have minor improvements but basically the same.

This monitor (27UL600) has a VESA mount so normally, it is possible to get a VESA stand if that's a big issue. Problem is VESA stands now seem to cost more ($46) and there is hardly any stock. There are cheaper options, but those ones are harder to adjust height. So if the price difference is around $50-$60, might as well go for 27UL650.
As for 27UL650 (and this one), as expected, they are fake HDR to be honest. Better than no HDR that's for sure.
It's very…entry level HDR. It's really just "a very good contrast ratio" rather than true HDR.
What would be similar spec but with 144Hz? Seen the Acer and AOC…unsure really on quality.

at least $900+
You may also need to buy a 2080ti
They're still very expensive. Hard to justify unless $1k+ is easily justifiable for you. If you're a twitch gamer, best value is still 1440p at 120+ Hz. If you're a 4x gamer, then go for 4k at 60-75hz. Should be able to source either of these options with a great panel for about $450-500.
I have the 27UL850, best monitor I’ve ever owned
Ooof tempting. Been debating with myself over what I really want and it's begun to hurt my head. 4K. 1440p. 144hz! Seeing the number 4 everywhere now!
Refresh rate over resolution. 1440p at 27 is ideal.
4k at 27" with native scaling would be way to small.
Ideally you'd want 32" for 4k IMO.
It depends on what do you use it for. If you're a gamer, then go for refresh rate.
If you're a twitch gamer, then go refresh rate. 4x games are plenty at 60-75hz.
Wait so do you mean go 1440p at 144hz over something like 4K at 60-75hz?
@MBix: He is saying if you’re a twitch gamer (eg. FPS), then yes, you prioritise 144hz, so get the 1440@144hz.
If not, and you only play non-twitch games like 4x strategy, then you don’t need to prioritise refresh rate, so you can go with 4k@60-75hz instead.
@caprimulgus: Thanks for the education! Much appreciated :D
@MBix: No worries, I’m in a similar boat, trying to decide! :)
Thinking of 1440, but not sure whether to just go 4K for use with next gen consoles in particular!
Mostly using for Xbox One X / Series X when that releases so I'm not too sure refresh rate will be a huge concern with the Series X only aiming for 120fps, but I do plan on making a half decent PC build at some stage when/if prices ever go back to normal or I just get bored enough to pay the extra.

Was considering possibly that one as a decent midway point. But really I have no clue :D
For a bit extra, at $589 would the CentreCom 31.5inch SAMSUNG J590 32" 4K be a better deal? Free delivery but preorder ETA 29/4
Both 4K and 60HzSAMSUNG J590 is VA panel while this one is IPS. I'd prefer IPS ones. This one also has a higher max brightness.
Correct! Only use for VA is for a 120hz+ panel and you need speed over all visual considerations.
Haha or cost I guess!
It is out of stock now 😩. What is the alternative monitor? Need one for casual photo editing, Light gaming.
Samsung UR55 is very similar to this one. $499 available at centrecom.

The LG 27UL500-W at Umart is still available for $489. Difference seems to be different HDR and 98% sRGB instead of 99%.
