Milo 450g (Australian Made) - $3.50 @ The Reject Shop

890

I missed the recent Amazon deal for the 1.5kg tins, but then came across these 450g tins for $3.50 each, which makes this a better deal. They're Australian made with best before date of September 2020. Heaps of stock at one of my local stores (Belconnen ACT). It's been a chilly few days here and I am enjoying a warm Milo right now!

this likely to be the new recipe that is powder rather that the granules formula that it used to be. the powder one is awful and you have to use 3x as much so after millions of complaints they have changed it back to the old formula as of June last 2019 so they are dumping the power one. Fyi

Just cracked one and compared it to the remnants of my 1.5kg tin, seems identical to me?

    • Wow. I don't have Milo often, so it sounds like I completely missed the 'powder' phase.

Thank goodness — I love the chunky granular stuff.

    • Wow I had no idea either. What a (profanity) up.

    • oh you're shtn me… why did they change a good thing. Didn't they learn from Arnott's Shapes, and Pringles!?

I remember there used to be heaps of sugar in it. Is it still the case?

    • I bought one, as it says on the tin, it has 46.4g of sugar per 100 g of milo or 9.3g per 20g serving, which is about 1 and half teaspoons of sugar (I measure the sugar and coffee when I make coffee to keep it consistent, 1 teaspoon of raw sugar is about 7g)

      • Thanks. I'll pass
