KitchenAid KSM160 Artisan Stand Mixer (Selected Colours) + $50 Store Credit - $499 @ The Good Guys

810

My wife wanted one of these the other day, but I checked OzBargain and told her to wait until the price started with a 4!

The Good Guys are selling selected colours of the KitchenAid KSM160 on sale for $499. Other colours are still selling around the $700 mark.

The Good Guys are also running an online-only promo for $50 store credit when you spend between $300 and $499 - see https://thegoodguys.sirv.com/Content/2020FY/Terms/wk41/onlin… for T&Cs.

There is also a bonus Sifter and Scale Attachment (selling ~$185 elsewhere) available from KitchenAid via redemption.

For those of you who don't have access to the The Good Guys, Harvey Norman are also selling selected colours at $499 https://www.harveynorman.com.au/kitchenaid-ksm160-artisan-st…. This still includes the Scaler and Sifter attachment (via redemption).

Don't forget Cashback or discounted Gift Cards to reduce the price even further. In the end we managed to get ours for $448 (Click and Collect) with $50 store credit!

Hey OP's wife, there's a deal on OzBargain for one of these starting with a 4!

    • +1

      Hang on, I'm confused…

    • +1

      Deal starts with a K

      I'm confused too

  • +2

    Check out https://kitchenaid.com.au/pages/redemption w/purchase from
    Participating retailers

  • Wait, so if you buy something for an extra $1 you get $100 store credit?
Like it doesn't have to be $500 + on one item?

    • +1

I had the same thought. But T&Cs say "an eligible product", so I didn't think it would work for multiple products.

      • Hey OP, I bought it on the 12th
        Received confirmation etc.
How long does it take to receive the $100 or $50 credit?
        Have you received yours?

        • T&C's say we should get the credit buy the 30th. Haven't got mine yet.

  • +4

It's so beautiful. Then I saw the price and realised I cannot afford it :(

    • +1

How does this compare to the cheap stand mixers? I feel like i'd need to bake 100 cakes to justify something like this.

      • I think it's more the attachments you can use in conjunction with it that sells it. You can make anything from sausages to spaghetti if you have the right attachment

        • No, but like with torches, they tell you the true power of their mixers, while others go for pmpo while you think, wow this must be good. I was looking at buying another mixer which supposedly was more powerful, it had 3x the power of KitchenAid, yet when making bread, you had to make a smaller batch than KitchenAid.

Sometimes it is the name that sells it, sometimes it is the quality and name.

          • @bargainparker: I understand what you're trying to say, but I don't think any stand mixers are rated by Peak Music Power Output… 🤣

      • For starters, they're built like a tank. So if you think you'd bake 100 cakes in your lifetime, it's justified. I have a KSM160, and my sister has a $300 or so Kenwood. Her mixer takes a couple seconds to ramp up to speed, whereas the kitchen aid is instant power. I don't bake that much (made butter in it the other day though) but when I do, it's a joy to use. I'd say it's worth it, but I also spent $300 on a chef knife, so I'm probably not the best person to listen to.

I got my Mrs this one https://kitchenaid.com.au/products/4-8l-kitchenaid-queen-of-…, she's a professional chef and loves to bake. We got the ice cream bowl + measuring tools for free last promotion. I also like to make my own burger meat.

She absolutely loves it, her mum has had one for 15 years and it's still going strong. You can made so many things with the attachments, if you enjoy baking then I would suggest investing in one.

we managed to get ours for $448 (Click and Collect) with $50 store credit!

448 is after 50 store credit?? or before?

    • +1

$448 before the store credit. We had access to some discounted gift cards.

  • +1

These have been $420 quite often with 20% off Peter's of Kensington eBay. Not sure if they're doing those discounts still or not though.

    • Haven't seen any recently ….

      • Yep, about a month on and still none in stock, not sure what they're on about.

  • +2

I really like these but just don't need a cereal bowl that big or expensive.

    • +1

These are great for jumbo home made McFlurries, I bet. Put 2L of ice cream in there, two packs of Oreos, mix, and you're in business.

  • +1

Do I need one of these?

  • +3

They're great.. But only if you bake a lot.

  • -2

Can I use the store credit to purchase this at the same time?

    • No.

    • Buy it, get credit, return it for refund, buy again and use credit.

      • +1

        And get another store credit?!

      • Maybe… presuming the deal is still on by the time you return AND you get the credit by 23 April (the T&C's say "customers will receive the store credit via email by the 30th April 2020").

  • +5

Thanks OP! Ordered one for the wife! I targeted the $100 credit. I added the "Homedics Quatro Mini Handheld Massage" for $12.

    • +1

Can you tell us if it worked?

    • +1

Same here, except I tried with the Sunbeam Liquid Descaler @ $6.95.

Overpriced compared to vinegar and water, but at least it's something I'll use.

    • +2

Nespresso compatiable pods are $4.99 and found under the required 'Coffee Machine & Beverages'

    • hey guys any updates on your orders? mine is still not shipped and now the status is back ordered and shipping method pick up. (I chose delivery to home at checkout)

      • +1

Mine was picked up by OzPost on 14/04 but nothing since then.

        • we got the Almond Cream mixer and no change so far. just contacted good guys. haven't receive the store credit yet.

          • @changot: What did TGG say?

            • @Nuclearvodka: no response yet.

              • @changot: Finally I got a response email.

They have confirmed that my item is on backorder and Maribyrnong store will process my order once stock arrives. They reassured me that they will definitely fulfill my order.

They even gave me a $20 store credit for my patience.

Hopefully it arrives before the promotion of Kitchen aid for the free attachments ends.

As for the $100 store credit that I'm expecting, I have not receive an email yet. Any of you guys got yours yet?

      • +1

Delivered late yesterday (silver one). The massager turned up 2 days before seperately.

Awaiting store credit email. I suspect it will be $50 not $100 as the T&Cs were a tad vague.

        • Well, I did receive the massager separately, but no stand mixer yet…
It'll take AusPost a week to deliver it from 15kms away…

  • +1

    Remember that

How long do I have to use my store credit?
The store credit will expire within four (4) weeks of store credit email dispatch.

  • Purchased! Thanks OP!

  • I bit the bullet and got the $12 massage thingy as well.
    Thanks OP

  • I bought one of these a few years ago and I think the bowls are too small what do other owners think?

  • Bought one with the massager. Don't have any need for descaler or coffee pod. Thanks!

I wonder how to select the massager colour?

  • +1

Bought one and a shaver, was going to get the toothbrush heads but they were so expensive.
FYI the only colour left is Silver, i rang up and asked and they said stocks are pretty much sold out and wont be restocked at this price.

    • Interesting I would have thought silver is more popular than the other colours.

Harvey Norman has the same colours for the same price but without the store credit - not sure about stock levels.

  • +1

OP. Im doing the same for my new coffee machine, my Sunbeam EM7000 steam stopped working. So I plan to upgrade to the Breville BES920. I am now waiting until the price has a 6 on the front as per OZBargain's rules and regulations. Sadly current cheapest is $899.

  • Looks like it is sold out

  • I was able to pick one up in store (display piece) for the same price, alas no Store Credit though

  • +1

Hey guys, we make an order more than a week ago and we chose for door to door delivery but the order now says it is for pick up in Mackay (We live in Melbourne). Tried to contact TGG but no one answers or replies. What's the latest status on your order?

    • No news yet for me, not even email. I think they will be backordered

    • +1

Mine was picked up by Australia Post on the 14th and is now "in transit" in Mansfield (QLD).
I live 18.1 km from Mansfield.
      It's been a week

    • Ordered on the 11/4 still hasn't been sent called gg on friday operator told me was on back order.

      • +2

Just got confirmation my one will be coming today.

        • May I ask what color? and location?

          Thanks.

          • +1

@changot: Silver NSW from mardsen park arrived yesterday.

    • Same boat mate.

but finally got a response from them today after sending a message last week.

Check my reply above for more details.

      • +1

Good for you mate. I still haven't received any response from them yet. Will call them tomorrow to check.

        • Good luck. Update here if you have the chance. I'll update also this post until all is sorted out. Cheers!

          • +1

@changot: Hey I received the mixer today. But no response from TGG at all. No credit yet also.

            • @Alanw: I haven't received my mixer yet. The credit was emailed last week.

              • @changot: I received my massager today but no mixer. my auspost tracking is still pending and its been 7 days already. should I be worried?

                • +1

@changot: I think you will get it.
But AusPost is pretty busy at the moment, and The Good Guys sold out real quick.
If it dispatched, it will get there.
Mine dispatched really quick from a shop in QLD and was stuck for a week in a warehouse 5 kms away.

  • +1

Oh well, I bought the stand mixer on the 12th and received it this morning.
I just redeemed the scale + sifter, and am still waiting for the GG store credit.

    Thanks OP!

    • Same boat as you Kate, wondering when the store credit will come through. I've sold the sifter scale attachment and keen to get the pasta attachment.

      • Noice.

How much did you sell it for?

I have no use for it either, just waiting to receive it.

    • Received and redeemed the sifter, in post for delivery next week hopefully.

No news on the credit. When was it anticipated to be emailed? Sure I saved the t&c's just in case.

  • +1

Purchased a week ago, received the unit and waiting for the sifter. However still haven't received an email regarding the Credit. I've emailed them but no response !

Has anyone heard back from GG's regarding the store credit ?

    • +1

      No credit here either.
We will find out on the 30th I guess!

      • +1

        Just got the $100 credit
Valid till the 27th of May

        • Got my credit too ! Thanks OP :)

        • Nothing yet. Was it sent from goodguys email address.

    • Still no credit emailed.

Just to confirm this one did not require a claim to be made according to the T&Cs. Most other promotions do, but didnt see one at the time. Makes me think this was a adhoc promotion and manually processed.

No way to reach customer services. Web enquiries remain unanswered. Phone is sales only. Trying social media. I suspect this will be a long journey of hassling.

      • +1

        Success!

Couple of polite FB messages and an email prompted a response with the credit voucher.

If anyone has not received this , reach out as it appeared a number of claims were not processed.

  • Purchased the cream one (was in stock for the same price than the silver, much better looking), it was send from Mackay to Vic. Took a bit of time but I can understand auspost delays.
Kitchenaid sent really quickly the bonus attachment.
Still waiting for TGG store credit as well.

  • Got a sms from the good guys regarding my digital invoice and im qualified for the 10$ store credit offer.

Checked my order online and updated to dispatched status.

I did not receive any email regarding the dispatched notice and any tracking numbers.

Did you guys receive any tracking number once it was dispatched?

    Order Details :
    - Cream color
    - VIC area

    • Saw the tracking number already. Hopefully by this week it will be delivered.

      • Hey guys got my $100 store credit via email today. Expiry on may 27. But still mixer and massager are not yet delivered and tracking number still say pending. I wonder when will my items arrive.

  • FML rang the store mine is assigned to (Osbourne Park WA) ad its not due to arrive till the week of 4th May!
