We should change the name from ozbargain to Amazonbackinstock….

$11 @ my local woolworths. Thought was good price so posted.

      • From memory Aldi have them about $2.50 every day.

Pretty sure things like this are always overpriced so they seem cheap when they’re half price. Can’t be more than 5 cents of ingredients in them, the packaging probably costs more

        • Aldi brand or Finish?

          • @Laziofogna: Aldi. It’s like dishwashing liquid, there are only so many ways to make it.

      • Fair call, It is actually on special unlike half the Amazon deals being posted. Anyone would think it was Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend with the amount of Amazon deals currently being posted

      • they’re $3 each everyday at rejectshop

        • Same brand/formula/concentration?

          • +1

@dm01: same brand, same mL, same fragrance. I dont know about concentration as it’s single use.

    • Normal price at my local woollies for the 2-pack is $10

30% saving seems like a pretty decent deal to me. I usually get it when it's half price, but not seeing any deals like that lately.

    • A cup of bleach and a cup of vinegar each sitting in the top tray will do a better job

does this actually do anything? don't the dishwasher get cleaned every time it is run?

    • +1

A reasonable question. Dishwasher tablets are already extremely caustic and burn everything off in sight.

    • +1

If you open the bottom you'll find a layer of grease that does not dissolve, somehow, with plain tablets. This product I found it helps with dishwasher smell if you have that issue.

    • +6

Even though i rinse all food from the dishes first, after a few months it starts to smell.

I use these 2-3 times a year when the smell starts, and the dishwasher always smells brand new afterwards. They're great when used for the right reason.

    • THis needs to be run with nothing in it on a high temp, so i would assume there is some stronger chemicals in the container than a normal pill

Or you can just use bicarb soda for a fraction of the cost - just sprinkle a cup around the bottom of your dishwasher and run it on a hot/self clean cycle.

      • +1

Cycle on hottest setting with bowl of vinegar works great too.

        • Vinegar is good, but some dishwasher manuals advise against it - say it will damage components. This could be true, but the cynic in me says it is probably so you continue to buy things like this product.

          • @Shoocat: Always used vinegar (the cheapest white vinegar) in the rinse aid compartment for the last 10+ years and never had an issue. It helps dissolve calcium deposits on glassware.

Also use it (or alternatively citric acid if you don't like the smell of vinegar) for descaling appliances (coffee machine, eletric kettle etc).

      • Another vote for bicarb. With vinegar, best to avoid as it can affect the rubber seals.

      • Also Boric acid is good but may have issues like the vinegar. Maybe the company wants to scare you.

Admit to using vinegar when my rise aid runs out.

  • $6.29 of you subscribe and you can set it for six monthly delivery.

    • +2

Or you can just cancel it the moment it's shipped.

      • +2

Wouldn't surprise me if Amazon Australia is yet to have any S&S product make it as far as the second delivery.

  • use these every now and again…does a good job of cleaning the dishwasher. Worth putting one through every couple of months.

    • +1

do you notice anything different before/after?

      • +1

        looks and smeels clean…

      • Smells nice. I think if you use it regularly (i.e. one a month) you won’t notice a big difference as opposed to once or twice a year… Certainly will help increase longevity of your precious dw.

    • Just spray worth lemon spray after a wash. Same effect.

  • Link broken?

    • +1

      Fixed

  • Aren't these like $2.50 half price? Why on earth have these been hoarded ?

    • World wide shortage of goods.

I stocked up a few months worth before when it was $2.50

      • Same, i managed to stock up but I hardly do, just that one time it was $2.50 and I just grabbed a tray. I just didn't know these were so popular…I can do without haha

  • These are $2 each at: https://www.bulkbuys.com.au/collections/all/products/finish-…

    • $10 shipping on any amount so better if ur bulk buying.
    • Past best before date shipping from Turkey…

  • +1

I can't add these to my cart or buy now and no price is showing up?

    • +1

      They're sold out. Offer over.

  • +3

Just use a bowl of vinegar and run dishwasher on high. Does the same.

    • Vinegar out of stock

  • I bought one. Have to admit in these times I buy these things from Amazon out of convenience and boredom as I only go to the supermarket once a week.

  • Missed out :(

  • I think I may have seen these for cheaper at Costco. But I think it was in a 4 or 6 pack. Worth checking out if you have a membership and you want to bulk buy these.

  • OOS again.

  • This dishwashing liquid is proven to kill coronavirus
