    They are on completely different level. This is much much much better than tcl.
    Hisense r8 is mid-high range, while tcl P8M is entry level.
    Hisence r6 is on same level as tcl p8m

    I think they brought the price down after TGG. Anyways, I bought it using vouchers from Suncorp with a 5% discount from TGG.

    So does this. Been following both as due for an upgrade but issues with current models from both held me back. Best to wait for next series imo.

        There are numerous, it's actively discussed on whirlpool. How many of the issues impact your set in your use case, and where they exist if you notice however is subjective. If you are happy, don't go looking for gremlins mate.

    Yep I have had this TV for 6 months and it is a POS. Wouldn't go near a Hisense again. Already been repaired once due to half the screen failing. Now the picture is tearing (or flickering) every minute or so. Add to that the massive hotspots on the screen in dark points of movies and the lipsync issues where you cannot match the sound and the lips no matter what setting you use. It's rubbish. Avoid. Trying my hardest to get a refund at the moment.

      You might just gotten a bad batch.

      Got a Hisense when they had that jb hifi phone deal and it's an amazing unit.

  I have the Hisense 65R8. It is a great TV. The colour and the quality of the Quantum dot ULED panel are very impressive. One thing I like most is the start up time, almost instant save me a lot of time.
