    Jaybird Vista

I once paid $149 for Windows Vista 😣😢😖

Looks like they're back up to $299

Oops my bad, been a long day :)

    • You need to apply the code on checkout.

  • +1

How is the call quality with these?

    • +5

Very inconsistent - great pair of earbuds, but calling isn't great

      • Thanks, might give them a miss them unfortunately

      • +2

I kinda expected that. For it to be waterproof, the mic hole would need to be quite small as well, to not allow water in.

This is more targeted for people working out I guess, where talking isn't really expected.

    • Reviews say not good

  • +1

Can anyone comment on microphone quality? I found the quality on the galaxy buds to be disappointing, will these be much better?

    • +5

Calls are the big weak spot of these - very hit or miss. Great otherwise

    • Would like to know too. On paper, compared to bud plus, this is a definite loser (2 mic for vista vs 6 mic for bud plus). But anyone use this is real life to compare?

    • Common sense - look where the microphone is - how can anyone expect it to sound well? There’s a limit to DSP.

    • These have a worse mic than the buds.

      • Thanks all. I was resigned to having to shell out for the Airpods Pro for wireless earphones with decent call quality. To my surprise, the new Galaxy Buds plus are rated very highly for call quality and are much better value than the Airpods Pro, we have a winner!

Good for sports, poor microphone seems to sum these up.

    • -5

do you know ANYTHING other than whatever rtings tell you?

      • +8

They do the best impartial technical reviews on the internet and allow direct comparisons with other brands and models.

You think some random person saying "I have these they are good","I have these they are bad" is more useful than what rtings publish?

        • -2

Their headphone reviews aren't as credible as the TV ones.

          • @elektron: Yet you can't even type out a single reason why you have that opinion?

            • -1

@noise36: Didn't need to, as all you offered was your own highly subjective opinion.

  • how are these vs the sony noise cancelling ones?

    • Sound quality wise these are not even in the same league.

Probably better than Sony for working out out though.

  • thanks

recommend jims review room for most of your audio reviews

Thanks was looking for a new pair of wireless headphones, great timing.

  • +2

RTings are showing these to be marginally better than my Jaybird Runs that are a few years old. Which is a good thing because the Runs are so great and I love them. I use them nearly everyday and love them for my mountain bike riding. And they are a few years old, which unfortunately means, I cannot bring myself to get this, which is so tempting at this price. I suppose, you won't be disappointed with these.

  • Any recommendations on an earphone with decent call quality please ?

    • +3

Jabra Elite 75T Active. Double the price but am extremely happy with them. Attractive set of buds, very secure and comfortable during gym / workouts, Bluetooth 5.0 technology, and extremely good call quality.

      • +2

100% agree. Jabra 75T is an all-rounder. Great sound, snug fit, waterproof and nobody complained call quality.

  • +1

Better than the Samsung Galaxy Buds?

  • +2

How does this compare with the Jabra Elite 75T Active?

  • These or Galaxy buds for $132 hmmm

    • As per my post above, buds have more accurate sound, lighter, better mic and battery life

      • Yeah the buds+ have best in class mic but I'll be using these mainly for working out and listening to podcasts, so I picked them up. Really happy with them.

  • +16

I own the Sony wf1000xm3, jabra 75t's and jaybird vistas (yes I'm a tws hog).
Vistas by far are the most comfortable and secure tws I have ever owned and are just unbeatable for physical activity but crap for call quality and there is no transparent mode.
75t's are Jack of all trades and among the best for call quality (which what I use them for when I travel) and decent sound quality.
Sony's are not great for physical activity and so so in call quality (also less comfy atleast for my ears than the other two) but have incredible sound so I use them when I'm indoors mostly.
So really it depends what your use case is but at this price the vistas are a steal if call quality is not your priority.

    • +3

Want them mainly for working out, so I picked up the Vista's :) Thanks mate

  • +1

How do these compare with SoundPeats?

  • For good price and mic quality these have had good reviews Taotronics SoundElite 72

    https://www.amazon.com.au/Bluetooth-Headphones-TaoTronics-ca…

    • Neg vote! Ok , I’ve set up a separate post for this now . Getting beeped on L plates.

  • Got a pair myself, can highly recommend. The find my ear bud feature is so good.

  • Thank you OP!

  • Can anyone successfully order this ?
My online order through Harvey Norman is always rejected for some reason.

    • Worked fine for me.

      • Thanks. Will contact HN online team.
Hopefully they can get it sorted quickly

  • +1

Thanks OP, been looking for a pair for running/workout.

  • +1

Thanks OP! Was waiting for a deal to upgrade from my Jaybird X2's.

  • Audio quality on these compared to X4s?

  • +2

Really considering these. Has anyone connected them to a Garmin watch? I have a vivoactive 3 music which can be fussy when connecting to wireless earphones

    • +1

Works with my fenix 6 pro seamlessly. No dropouts while running or strength training.
You can pair it with upto 8 devices at any given time and do 'hot' swaps between devices (I'm not sure whether you can be 'connected' to more than one device at a time like bose 700's, in case you're interested in that)

      • Thanks mate, appreciate the reply. Going to give them a crack tomorrow 👍

  • Thx OP just picked mine up. Must admit quite impressed. Haven't owned a pair of jaybirds since the x3s. Will be good for runs.

    • +1

Do you connect to phone or watch Julz? If it's a Garmin watch would love to know how connection goes 🙂

      • +1

I've only connected it to my phone atm. Can try connect it to my Samsung Galaxy active 2 later and report back.

      • +1

Works great with my phone, tv, laptop and Garmin fenix 6 pro mate

  • +1

Does anyone know how long this promotional code is valid for?

  • Picked mine up today from HN (ordered last night). Fit is great - running and jumping - not coming loose at all. The sound quality is good but more bassy than my Sony XM3s. Set up using the app was easy as well, there's EQs which you can tweak to make it less bassy if you need to. Thanks.

    • Are they comfy?

      • Yeah no ear pain or pressure for me. Theres 3 sizes of the ear tips

        • will the bass setting remain if i pair it up with smart watch?
or is it only when its paired with the phone that has the app?
          in case you know.

also how long do you wear it in a single use?
as i used jabra 75t before, which was comfy for 1-2 hours, but after that it started to hurt my ear.
though it's much smaller than jabra 65t.

          Thanks

  • Are these better than the Samsung Galaxy Buds for $132.98? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/528355

  • How are these compared to jbl reflect flow?

  • What I get for thinking about it too much. Have to get grey and drive 20 minutes for em. Oh well, I'm used it anyway haha. Edit* Thanks OP

  • Gone… I thought to much about it…

    • +1

Still comes up with available for me. Going to have to bite the bullet and buy I think. Looks too good to pass up

  • +4

These are super dooper comfortable buds. I previously had the Jabra 65t elites and they were incredibly uncomfortable, hurting my ears and giving me a headache after about 20mins. This kind of fit looked similar to the 75ts which I now know to steer clear of. The other major competitor that has the same style of fit as the Vista is the Bose Soundsport but they didn't feel as snug as the Jaybirds. Plus, the Vistas have a great compact case with magnetised holders for the buds and charges by USB-C. Sure they may not satisfy all the audiophiles out there but the sound is pretty solid and there is a handy app to control the bass etc quite well. Bluetooth connection is great and no master/slave bud arrangement so can use either bud independently. Can't comment on the mic but imo at this price they are a steal! Thanks OP!

    • I just had my first phone call with them in and the person I was speaking to said it sounded like I was underwater. Ah well, happy with everything else and I don't take too many calls like this anyways.

      • I actually had a call on these last night (right bud only) and was told I sounded like I was speaking normally through the phone. YMMV I guess. Played around with the EQ and very happy with the sound the more I use them. Would be nice to have the transparent mode. Could be a software update down the track but it's definitely not a deal breaker. Did I mention how comfortable compared to other buds these are?

        • +1

I had another call just then and my mate said i sounded a little quiet but nothing terrible, so not sure! Agreed on comfort though, and worked out/went for a run with no issues.

  • +1

Anyone else still waiting on these? I ordered these via click and collect on the 4th and am still waiting for the ready for the collection confirmation. I realise it hasn't been that long but I'm just noting the comments above from people who were able to pick it up immediately.

    • +1

I ordered mine on 13/04 and they arrived today

    • +1

Still waiting for mine, ordered on the 8th and nothing yet. I'm from Sydney.

  • +1

Recent got a pair from this deal and wanted to add that they don't support Multipoint Connection. This means if you're connected to your phone then you can't also be connected to another device like your laptop/tablet/computer.. I found this to be a big negative of the device given that it gets pretty tiresome having to manually switch.

    • +1

They do this because each bud has its own connection. So you can keep them fully independent. Charge one in the case while using the other. Swap as you want. Not sure how other true wireless buds do this though. I actually find it an advantage as I walk through the house it doesn’t try connecting to my iPad or other devices. I’ve really enjoyed my vistas for the 3 or so months I’ve had them.

  • Anyone still waiting on theres? I ordered on the 8th and still no sign of them.

    • I received my collection notice yesterday and picked them up today
