These snorkeling masks have been used in Europe as ventilators in hospital.
Yeah, fingers crossed we don't reach that scenario in Oz.

At the same time in Australia, Decathlon put some disclaimer in the shops saying "it has not been designed for this purpose"
Don't forget, you can't dive below the surface with these masks unless you want a fast full of seawater you can't escape.
Of course, this model may run some different magic which stops water once you dive.
That's just not true. You can dive, hoeever the pressure of the mask is uncomfortable and it's very hard to equalise. The valve stops all water coming in through the attached snorkel. There is another version with a rubber nose bit in order to pinch and equalise.
I went to the Tempe store last year to try these masks out.
I think the fit will depend on your face/head shape.
I couldn't get it to fit nicely - didn't buy, don't risk buying online.

the full-face snorkelling mask is the worst. it builds up CO2 while using it.
