    • +1

      Alternate ones

  • +4

    In store only

Better pick up some puzzles as well or you might be pinged for going out for non-essentials

    • +5

you might be pinged for going out for non-essentials

Are you suggesting chocolate isn't an essential? :-)

    • Today at woolies woman in her 60’s purchasing one bottle of iced coffee

  • I guess Target and Kmart think they might have too close.

If this is the Chinese made chocolate that Kmart sells, yes, it should be 50% off.

    • Actually most is made in Australia.

    • Seriously?

I saw row after row of Cadbury

      • +1

Yes, they sell lots of Cadbury, but also some Chinese made chocolate. And it's horrible

  • +1

Serious question - are members of the public still allowed to visit kmart under the guise of essential activities? My understanding is no, in which case how much longer can such stores stay open?

    • +2

Well, you could argue that chocolate is food, and they're allowing people out to buy food, so, you know, I guess there's that.

I totally get your point though. Kmart, Officeworks, Bunnings, they're all open. Where exactly should the line be drawn?

    • +4

Hard to know where to draw the line. People need access to clothing, bedding ect especially heading into winter.

      • +2

I think you're right - for some reason I thought essential items were all related to groceries only, but when I checked again, it's a bit more generic and open to interpretation:

"Obtaining food or other goods or services for the personal needs of the household or other household purposes (including for pets) and for vulnerable persons."

    • These places are definitely essential. I've just been forced to temporarily relocate to WA until the travel restrictions are lifted. I needed to buy all the things that you need to set up a new place with everything staying in my normal home in QLD. Also, most clothing retailers are closed so where can you buy clothes if you are in the same situation. Hoping that they don't shut down any time soon but they'll definitely be seeing a reduction in cashflow so may be inevitable

  • -2

Risk of getting fined for going out for non essential purposes and risk of getting coronavirus = no deal

  • +2

It’s online also now - well at least for some items (they must be in the process of reducing the prices now).
If buying for yourself - no doubt they will go 75%. There’s soooo much stock around.

    • Thanks for letting us know it is now online. Just ordered $46 worth to be delivered. That should last us til Easter.

  • Heaps of stock still at Richmond store. Heads up, this discount includes the M&M speckled egg buckets!! Usually $10 down to a fiver.
Big W has theirs discounted to $8

Thanks for your patience! You're in the queue.

We're currently experiencing a high volume of traffic, so we're trialling a queuing system. When it’s your turn, you'll have as much time as you need (as long as you aren’t inactive for more than 20 minutes).

    Kmart website right now.

  • Order cancelled 4 days after ordering. Thanks Kmart! Positive revoked!
