The only footy getting played this year.

      AFL isolation

Don't think this will even get played.

Although this might be the cheapest price for this game; the AFL Evolution line of games is actually a joke. Same replayed mechanics from 2004 an graphics have barely improved, without any exaggeration.

    • Agree mostly, but the gameplay and controls from AFL Live (2004) and 05/6 was (profanity) waaaay more fun than the new series tbh.

    • Yep. If it is anything like the predecessors it will be in the bargain bin in a few weeks time.

I wouldn't be rushing out to preorder it.

If it is anything like the predecessors it will hold its value for 2 or 3 years, doesn't mean it's a good game but it will be the only AFL game on the market.

Ahh, so you picked up the game today, played it, and came to this opinion..
It’s literally a re-build, using a new engine (Unreal), And has been out for a whopping 2 hours..

When does this come out for PS2?

    • Cmon it’s ps3 graphics

    • Ha, that was indeed the best AFL (vfl) game ever.

After working for the company that developed the game and seeing how terribly they treat their staff, I wouldn't let a cent from my pocket fall into theirs.

    • Damn tell us more

During the development of AFL evolution 1, some employees were let go (for budget reasons I would assume). Interns that were meant to be brought in to be educated, were instead used as an unpaid workforce to complete the mundane tasks that the other devs didn't have time to do. They worked for a week in a basement (the dev company's studio) with not even a window. They quickly realised they were being used to complete a game for a company that had no interest in educating them, crediting them or compensating them. It was clear they blew budget and were way past deadlines and this was their unethical solution. This happens far too often in the gaming industry and I believe that studios like this should be named and shamed for these practices. Instead, it is silenced because people are too afraid of tarnishing their reputation in such a struggling industry.

So expensive, but only AFL game on the market. Bah!

    • If only a % of sales goes towards your club during this crisis, it could encourage more people to buy it.
