Cancelling Credit card and Qantas Frequent Flyer Points

I have a NAB credit card ( packaged with my home loan) which I want to cancel as I am refinancing and do not want to pay the annual fee to keep it. I received QFF points into my QFF account as part of receiving this credit card. If I cancel my credit card, will I still have access/keep my QFF points?
I have been told 2 different things from people I know.

    As long as it's already in your QFF account, you will not lose those points.

    Dont worry - you will lose the points regardless in this current COVID-19 climate.

    yep. The points are yours. There's only been one high profile case of Bankwest trying to claw back points but it blew up in their face spectacularly.
