        That is correct, you can either play back recordings you have made from tv using the PVR funtion or you can play movies or media downloaded from your pc.

    mpeg1, mpeg2, mpeg3, mpeg4, Divx, Xvid, avi, mkv, .264 and most standard media formats for movies, the unit also plays standard sound mp3, wma etc and picture files jpeg gif bmp etc.
