    I have the 30k bank. It's a ripper.

    • +1

      Ripper hole through your pocket?
      I'll help myself out.

      • +1

        what

        • +3

          My joke clearly sucks!
Rip a hole through your pocket because it's a heavy battery pack.

  • Ordered a 30k, thanks OP

  • +10

oh no, just bought one of these.
    oh no, just bought another!

  • +4

    Do I need another one….no
Did I order another one….hell yeah

  • Damn! I just bought the 26800mAh one this morning for $41 :(
    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07TYW1FPT/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_…

Much difference to the Sense 30000mAh or just a slightly lower capacity?

    • +11

Just a different capacity. When we're able to board planes and fly again the 26800mAh will be able to be carried on any flight without issue. For the 30000mAh you just need to declare it at check-in (Virgin) or email Qantas/Jetstar for a 12 month pass.

      • Thanks, that makes me feel better. :)

      • thanks for the info

      • The 26700 appears to be a PD charger.

    • The big difference appears to be the 26800 one has PD charging.

  • +2

I have the 30k and 2 x 20k. Just returned from overseas and these are life savers! I used them to charge my ipad pro, iphone and most importantly, my canon Eos R, allowing me to have it charging in my camera bag between usage!

    • +5

Life saver? please self-isolate for 14 days. you just "returned from overseas", right?!

      • +23

Im a photographer… When batteries die, a little piece of me dies inside :P
Yeah on day 5 at the moment. Not actually required as I landed a few hours before scomo made the announcement and about 15 before the midnight curfew, but being a responsible human so working from home… Tough as a photographer but lots of marketing to do for clients!

        • +1

Thanks for doing the right thing mate!

  • Out of interest, what do you use a 30k powerbank for?

    • +4

An excessively long Pokemon Go session if that's your thing? Usually if you have a handful of devices needing a charge on the go.

    • +1

I got mine for a music festival last year and now I have it beside the couch so I don't need an extension cord to plug a charger in. I get a week out of it when using it to top up at least once a day.

    • +13

Charge the powerbank at work for free then use it charge your devices at home for free, of course!

      • +4

Have you ever worked out how much you save? It's surprisingly not much.

        • +9

          but… I'm an Ozbargainer?!

        • +8

          Hand back that ozb card.

      • But then you are using your power bank and making it old :D

      • +3

Also burn kilojoules carrying to and from work so extra bonus.

    • In the January power outages in Sydney, we were able to use this to charge multiple phones and iPads at the same time during extended blackouts.

  • +1

Do these fast charge Oppo phones with VOOC?

    • +1

Afraid not sorry. There are very few power banks out there that do.

  • -2

What’s the point of these deals, not if people are travelling in droves these days

    • +5

This is not the end of travel. People will travel in droves again once this blows over.

    • +7

They are useful when you have prolonged power outage.

    • +7

      Camping!

    • +1

I use it over several days next to my sofa to keep my phone charged multiple times and charge it once a week. I also use it to charge a small laptop whilst out and about.

  • +1

    Romoss or Xiaomi?

    • +1

Rosmoss all the way. Although I use my xiaomi more for on the go and use the rosmoss when traveling or at home. It's a big unit 🤣.

      • +1

        Why u like romoss better?

        • +1

I have one of each and the main thing I could tell you is that charging time is a lot longer on the Romoss due to the size and the 18W charging speeds.

          • +1

@ballistykx: this is a big deal. thanks for letting me know, now i understand why the Xoami 20,000 model costs more: 45W PD

            • +2

@spinferno: one thing going for the romoss is that you can charge with either micro usb, lightning or type c

            • +2

@spinferno: Let me remind you; the faster you charge, the more stress on your battery.

My devices charge on 2A 5v at home. The only fast charge i use is in the car; because if im bothering to plug in there, then i need juice 'right the frick now!'

          • @ballistykx: hey i just realised my devices won't need more than 18W, can I ask what you were charging that took longer with the romoss?

  • +1

Will any of these charge a Surface Pro?

    • Because they have the PD profile; theres a chance they will!

What does the surface pro need to charge?

      • SP6 with usb c adapter requires 27W

        • Thats a shame; I thought it might behave like a nintendo switch. Needs PD to go upward while playing, but charges fine while off over 5v USB.

Also drastically slows the discharge on a basic 2A 5v.

      • Does note 9 have PD and will a PD charger charge my note 9 faster than the charger that came with it?

  • Is there a difference between that white 10000 and the black 10000?

  • +5

    Any deal on 26800mAh?
    Want a weekend powerhorse.

    • Same, have been hanging out for a deal on these!

  • Bought the sense 8+ 30k previously. Bought on Saturday, delivered Monday morning 7am.

It’s a beast. Heavier than I thought it would be.

  • Any with bigger PD output for charging laptops? 18W will not cut it, probably need to be at least 60W+.

    • +2

      Nothing above 18W unfortunately.

      • Okay thanks, I'll keep an eye out until you do.

  • Have Sense 8P+?

  • forgot shopback. ah well thnx op

    • +2

Cashback no longer eligible in the electronics category anyway

  • Thanks OP

  • +1

Does any of those support QC on Samsung Note 10?
    Thanks

    • +1

      They don't.

      • What a shame. Thanks for answering.

  • I actually bought one of these…. and it had 40% left in the battery bank and i was out and needed to use the battery pack… and it went "FLAT".

And then a bit later, I plugged it in to charge and it right away said it had 36%.

    Buyers Beware.

    • is there a way to test battery capacity D:

      • i think he's saying it didn't charge as if it was flat while reporting 40% capacity remaining

  • Out of curiosity, why is this not compatible with S10 for QC?

    • Good question. S10e, S10, S10+ do support QC.

My interpretation is that it is referring to S10 5G, which technically is still part of S10 series. S10 5G's official fast charge appears to be USB-C/PD with PPS. It's hard to find a 3rd party charger that supports it at the moment. S10 5G probably can still use standard USB-C/PD PDO though at a slower speed (but don't quote me on that as I don't have a S10 5G or Note 10 or S20 to test).

However, one of the 1 star comments is a buyer reported that his/her S10 not able to fast charge with this.

      • I get inconsistent reports of people saying it does and doesn't QC Samsung S9 so Romoss have just said it's not compatible. Definitely not PPS so that rules out the S10 series.

  • Damn, what else should I buy to get to 39.?

  • Should I buy? :-?

  • Would either of these be able to charge my Lenovo X1 6th Gen? Any idea how much charges I would get out of it too?

    • +1

No you'd need a power bank with USB-PD 45W or higher.

      • Thanks!

  • +1

Im thinking of buying the 30000, so I can top up my 20000 when It runs out.

  • border tax really driven these prices up….

    • They're all Australian stock though.

  • hey OP, confirming the pass-through charging.. so I would be able to use this as an UPS for a raspberry pi?

  • +3

    Hi OP,

    interested buyer :

    1) do you have a black one for Romoss LT20PS+ 18W 20000mAh Power Bank

    2) is this the same with LT20PS+ ? if it is different what other specs are different other than the colour? the model number seems different
    https://www.amazon.com.au/Portable-ROMOSS-20000mAh-External-…

    3) any promotion for 26800mah PD type C?

    • Hanging out for a 26800mah deal too.

  • +1

bought this bank for a month trip in south america. Kept my switch and 2 phones charged through the entire 15hr flight. Also kept 10 people's phones charged for the entire inca trail. highly recommend.

    • Also kept 10 people's phones charged for the entire inca trail.

Who had to carry it? :)

  • Thanks, got the 30amp one. Was very dependant on my other 30a charger recently so having a second one is good piece of mind.

  • I really wanna buy some, but I'm very concerned after my last one exploded while not in use (not charging, nor discharging).
    I don't like that they're lipo's not LiIon.

  • Tried to cancel my order seeing as fast charging doesn't work on my Samsung galaxy S10+ but won't let me even though hasn't been shipped ???

    ORDER # 250-6480003-7304620

    • Contact Amazon and they should be able to sort for you.

  • does the usb-c port work on a SP7?

    • +1

I recommend a 45/60W or higher USB-PD power bank for the Surface Pro 7 or any other laptop that does USB-PD charging.

  • Who's going to need these now that no one is allowed outside anymore?

    • +1

Maybe good backup for power outages if everyone is staying home using all the power!

    • Go camping in woop woop 😉

  • How do these compare to the Xiaomi power banks? I've only ever used Xiaomi and they're excellent.

  • Excuse my ignorance but just checking if there is any power bank available that supports wireless charging for my iPhone 11 pro or the Samsung S20+
