[eBay Plus] Sony WF-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Cancelling Earphones $199 Delivered @ eBay

2460
PDJ10

Posting this separately so that everyone has enough time to build their Python bots.

Best price ever if you manage to snap one up.

Drops will be at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm AEDT. I'm guessing it will be 100 units per drop.

Item link

Based on the RRP report, I think it might be this listing @ Bing Lee.

PS. Before anyone reports this as a dupe, I wasn't able to add this item to the heading of the existing mega sale deal. Mods have advised that I can post a new deal for this.

    Ha! Good luck.

More chance of getting infected with corona than scoring these deals!

    • +8

If I have Corona and also scores the headphones, does that make me a hoarder as I have more then most ?

    • +7

      The qualifiers for these are a joke, needs;
      1. ebay plus paid subscription
      2. only available at a certain hour of one day
      3. be quick enough as theres limited stock and you might just waste your time with it selling out so fast.

  • +11

Ebay plus: Basically just a membership in a lottery pool.

    • +3

Pretty much except you pay for ebay membership. Good luck if you score anything

      • +1

The fun will be at 6pm tonight.

        • +1

Yep. Once you sign in all items are gone

        • +1

          What's happening at 6pm tonight?

          • +1

            @RichardL: your mum

Drops will be at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm AEDT. I'm guessing it will be 100 units per drop.

            • +3

              @Blitzfx: That's on Sunday.

              • +1

@RichardL: I'm guessing they mis-spoke. he/she said they also made a mistake with the title further down

          • +2

            @RichardL: 99 cent deals.

  • +13

So you need ebay plus for this?

    I'm out.

    • +1

Not necessarily. I tried one of the other deals (where there are still units available!) and the discount code worked, and I am not a plus member.

  • +8

Anyone know where I can find one of these python bots in the wild?

  • +12

These should probably be listed under competitions instead of deals

  • +3

    I passed.

    • +4

      Was good knowing you

    • +1

When did heaven get the internet?

      Hopefully not NBN.

  • +3

Any deals on python bots?… asking for a friend.

    • +1

I can sell you one for $199

      • +1

        :) a "real one" or a copy

        • +1

      • +3

  • +1

Wow….Good price for premium ANC earphones

  • +4

why title says Headphones? aren't these earphones

    • +4

Fixed. My head wasn't in the right space this morning.

      • +1

was only scared thinking these are WH-1000X when i read the title as i bought surface headphones for 180 last night.

        • +1

Nothing against OP but I find people these days don't bother to distinguish between headphones/earphones. They all use one of the terms to describe both. It annoys me lol

        • +1

Where did you get $180? I thought the MS store price was back to $299.97.

    • +1

      Agreed 100%
Pain of my life trying to get this fixed. Even Sony calls them headphones!!

  • +1

i've made 3 PP claims on this already… 242 was the last one. I think 28D is really getting fed up with me.

    • +1

Which is why 28 Degrees Card doesn't offer Price Protection to new applicants anymore 😛

      • +1

        Oh really? Source?

      • +1

and that is why I will never cancel my card.

I know that they canceled it last year for new applicants, but I can't find that info on their current site anywhere. A notice saying it is available to existing cardholders only and not new applicants. They still have information about it, how to claim it, and all that but it's so hard to find where it says it's no longer available.

    • +1

huh… so if you purchase from ebay you can make a claim regardless of who the actual seller is or what?

      • +1

As long as it's an australian seller, yes.

        • +1

seriously? I could've sworn that the price protection only applied to products if the same retailer dropped the prices(?!). I better go back through the t&Cs

          • +1

@Kingfield: they changed that a few years ago.

Originally it was same retailer only, and 6 months of cover. They extended it to 12 months, and any retailer. But the cost of the cover went from 0.5% to 1%. Well worth it imo.

            • +1

@lostn: Damn too bad that you don't earn FF points on it, otherwise my card might actually see some use

              • +1

@Kingfield: i don't think the monetary value of FF points comes close to the guaranteed refund amounts you will get as things go on special throughout the year. Especially if buying a phone or tablet which gets superseded and cleared out on a 12 month cycle. This happens to all electronics just about.

                • +1

@lostn: Yeah you're right… This is ridiculous for phones and brand new electronics now that you mention it, you can literally go crazy buying anything and not worry bout the price when it comes out.

Geez alright is this actually still available or grandfathered only?

                  • +1

@Kingfield: I don't know. Late last year they announced it would be grandfathered only but someone else told me it's still being offered to new applicants but under a different insurance than Latitude. I can't confirm. It's hard to find definitive information on the site. They still mention the shopper's protection and PDS, but I can't find where it says that it's not available to new applicants. But that's also the nature of legalese. It can be hard to comb through or understand.

I use 28D to buy at full price if there's a good cashback deal going. After a PP claim later, the cashback is just a bonus. Or if there's a redemption promo. Samsung preorders are always full price but you get some free gift (EPP and Education portal has a 20% discount but no free gift). You can claim PP on a sale price later when the free gift is no longer offered, and you get the sale price and get to keep the free gift. I only buy Samsung stuff when there's a freebie (always full price during these promos). If preordering, you get to use the product when new and pay sale prices 12 months later as a new model releases.

This is the only time I would ever suggest buying stuff at full price. Without PP, I'd suggest waiting for a sale always. But if you wait for a sale, you miss out on SB/CR cashbacks that happen to be on at the time, or the free redemption gift.

Just this last quarter I've gotten back about $1000 in PP claims. It's an amazing deal, but I always get downvoted when I mention my PP claims.

          • +2

@Kingfield: You might be thinking of the Coles Account cover plus. That's 2 years. Same retailer.

28 degrees is 1 year any retailer.

            • +1

@cheesecactus: Can confirm this on the coles. But there is a limit of $600 and only one claim. So you gotta make it count! :)

              • @lordra: Negative, you can definitely claim more than once for the same item. I claimed like 3 times for an SSD a few years back on my coles card

                • @cheesecactus: Omg really! Time I wait for the C9 to drop again from Betta Deals ha ha! Price protection, here I come!

  • +2

Really just a $42-50 savings at this price point considering the sales in the last while

    • +1

well yeah.. but it's a new low, and a significant discount from the previous low.

    • +1

That's another 18-20% off the lowest sale price, definitely a bargain

    • +3

rtings needs to buy a vowel.

Their testing methodology is really hardcore though. I'm impressed the lengths they go to.

      • +1

The best technical reviews around, good for those that want more than some random persons opinion.

      • +1

I haven't found their headphone reviews to be as sound (no pun intended) TBH as their TV reviews, despite using similar methodologies.

  • +2

Next eBay plus bargain buy will be Quilton 3Ply TP :)

  • +4

    My python bot is ready.

Now what do I do with it?

    • +1

make sure it bites the seller when prices hike

  • +1

I was thinking about getting a set of these for travelling but….they'd probably be out of warranty before I used them.

    • +3

You don't need ANC in space, Joe.

      • +1

It turns out that you CAN hear people scream, and some ANC would come in handy.

  • +2

What to we want: Sony WH-1000XM3
At how much do we want: $199
At what condition do we want: Brand New
    When do we want: NOW

  • +1

Must be so cheap because the target market for these , are not flying in planes anymore.

    • the target market is every day use. It's more discreet than over-ears.

They take phone calls, which you're not going to do in the air.

  • +1

I have these headphones and not being able to connect to multiple devices at the same time effing sucks (technology is called "Multipoint"). Bose QC35's have this feature

    • +1

different class of product. These are buds.

  • +1

I don't see anything "sony" on the page the deal links to.

    • +4

And you didn't see IN 2 DAYS at the top of this page either.

  • +1

Fck so many people in front of me I don't think I get the deal "(

    • +1

      Where are you lining up?

      • +2

        The people above me :)

  • +4

I'd consider buying but not as we slide into a Recession / Depression.

Saving all my money where possible for now.

    • +6

and that's how a recession / depression occurs when EVERYONE stops spending…

    • +1

Thanks, I'll take one if you don't mind then.

      • Good luck eating your earphones

        • It's sold out less than a 1min 15sec, very hot product indeed.

  • +2

Based off the ebay page seems like the white version, not the black

  • +1

Is this going to be a mad rush to save $20 on $319 headphones … hope its a bigger saving then that .. but probably not give its not being promoted on price.

Where did the $199 price come from?

  • +4

hmm I'm on the fence on these headphones.

If it was $150, I'd try to get one but $199 is a good price but not enough to really convince me. Also, heard of some connection issues by people

I think I'll wait for Bose Earbuds 700 at the end of the year, see what they are like and wait for a price drop.

    • +11

If you wait long enough you can go straight to hearing aids. 🤔

  • Is there a code to be entered or will the price drop to $199 making it eligible for cash back?

  • mistake

  • +3
  • Got one thanks

  • +1

    199 is still kinda pricey

  • still no update. They playing us?
