1160

Edit - cheaper at Officeworks (thanks GG57). Edit: No stock (temporarily out of stock at the payment screen in checkout).

$42 at Bunnings

Basically one year's toilet paper for $35.64 (or $42 at Bunnings). Beats any deals that Amazon can come up with if you are willing to accept the paper being one ply less.

Summarising what's in this article -

  • one person uses 57 sheets of toilet paper per day.
  • one jumbo roll (300m) would last 46 days for one person.
  • eight jumbo rolls (2400m) would last 368 days for one person.

Using maths -

  • 1.4 cents per metre
  • Assuming 10 sheets/metre then it'll be 14 cents per 100 sheets.

Supplied in cartons of 8 rolls of 300m each
• 2-Ply soft jumbo toilet tissue
• Quick and easy to refill
• FSC certified
• White in colour

Scott Essential Jumbo Toilet Tissue Roll delivers quality with superior softness, strength, absorbency and comfort.

  • Looks like fine grit sandpaper

  • There is no way that this is "one year's toilet paper "

Thanks OP. I managed to secure this – avoiding an imminent run-out soon. For that, I am extremely happy.
Been unsuccessful in finding any sort of toilet paper on supermarket shelves for a while now.

Having said that, if you are not close to desperate, I would wait for the usual supermarket toilet rolls. Why?

    • This is rather inferior quality - especially if you are used to say, Quilton etc.
    • Their 2-ply is not much thicker than some 1-ply you will find on supermarket shelves.
    • It is also narrower than the typical toilet roll (8cm instead of the typical 10cm).
    • It has no perforation.

Come to IGA Cremorne if you live in Sydney, they are blessed by the toilet paper gods. I saw Quilton rolls yesterday and mostly full shelves. Limited brands were available though.

I've been to my local Coles 3 times in the past week and I would have been able to get toilet paper if I wanted each time… if you go at the time they are stocking up … it's available.

Two ply. You surely can’t be serious. I have a pack of twenty three play and behind glass a six pack of two ply. That glass has on it .. only in case of emergency, break glass. Two ply.. good lord. What next, sandpaper.

    • Remember when shaving razors only had two blades…

  • How strong does it stick?

Plus one for the convenience factor. Imagine only having to change the dunny roll once per year!

Also… they have these at my work, they last ages. you can even get a dispenser that holds two jumbo rolls! You could practically go for 2 years before needing to reload.

Rolls this big just encourage masturbation. You certainly don't come across these everyday.

Dude just look at regular porn like the rest of us. Or are rolls so rare they're becoming arousing?

Careful if its too thin you going to finger yourself :)

Hands up who uses these in public restrooms and just end up 20plying? I definitely go OTT with it just because

  • This roll looks like the ones used in commercial toilets and cubicles at pubic ones.

    No doubt about it

  • Can't wait for my four year old to unravel the entire 2.4m on the floor trying to break off one square

This is the kind of tp people get anxiety using in public bathrooms, so dry it doesn't clean and you may as well use A4 print paper, it's second worst only to the places that dispense single squares

  • For anyone in Melbourne, stock levels show as 'low' at the Mill Park store, don't bother, just drove out there and there's none.

  • Bankstown, NSW plenty boxes front of store. No one grabbing them, I think even in this crisis, wiping your bum with Bunnings sandpaper toilet paper is not more appealing than newspaper.

  • Any idea what the dissolvabilitity/disintegration is like on these?
One stuck toilet drain has scarred me for life.

    • I was concerned too - thinking it might not be too different from tissues, which now I know, is also not flushable. So I did a test: wet this as well as tissue and compare. It did disintegrate better than facial tissue.

  • Good start to my ozbargain journey. Just created an act this morning n I loved all the chit chat in this topic 🤪

    Stock Checker here

    • Why is no one in Port Macquarie hoarding? Are they unaustralian?

    • nice one, can you check stock of toilet paper in Big W (although it seems outdated always)?

  • There must be a glut of commercial toilet paper as lots of businesses are closed.

I suppose more ppl are doing most toiletting at home now… most likely the retail TP supplies will always be short.

This commercial stuff imo ought to be sold at retail shops more and more.

Bunnings ought to have chopped these up and sold them for $6 each,
