Certainly not for hobbyists but for $259 new with a built-in preamp, there are few simple options that sound decent and this does get a good write up online.
And Bluetooth too!
The 1080 is still regarded as the Denon killer ..please correct me if I'm wrong.
I have been really happy with my 1080. Previously I had Denon.
I was just going to pull the pin on a STR-DH790 from Kogan ($499!). Why would I get this model? Serious question
Bought anyway 😬 looks to have what I require; ie replacing my harman kardon avr645 which died on the weekend
I just priced matched this at jbhifi in Penrith. Great price! Still at $1399 in store
Any chance some deals on any Kef products soon? :)
Would this be a good upgrade from a Yamaha RXD485B amp? I'd really like more hdmi ports. But i'd want an upgrade to the sound or features too. I'm running jamo speakers if that helps.
Big upgrade overall specifically on the audio front.
"SONY PS-LX310BT"
Tracking weight not listed. No weight adjustment/anti skate therefore no option to change cartridge. I've bought too many devices where Sony have interposed their own proprietory interface be it transfer software [Network Walkman], USB modification [W700i] or proprietory stylus, then walked away from it a couple of years later leaving it orphaned, to regard them as worth consideration.
