Not a bad PMP for the price and size, nice alternative to some portable DVD players.

  • Thanks for adding that in…will update the description.

    e-ink > LCD for ebooks

oh, LCD.. yeah I wouldn't read on that.

  • It's a Laser product (read: budget quality), LCD and quite small. Reading text on it for extended periods of time would be painful. It's a great price however if you're looking for a media player and don't already have a good mobile phone.

  • 5" is too small for e-book and for comfortable reading but I guess is OK for a small player to be used in public transport.

Not a bad little video player for the car or bus. But calling it an ebook reader is somewhat of a stretch :-D

5" screen is about standard for a GPS now days isn't it?

Get the Galaxy S Note B**ches, 5.3 inch screen and serves the quadruple purpose of PMP, Ebook reader and phone with media player functionality via MHL to HDMI.

Sure it's gonna be helluvalot expensive almost 10 times more but worth it IMO

As a current Dell Streak 5 inch phone owner, I approve this message.

    • Get the Optus MyTab - all the above (minus the HDMI), bigger screen, and a much, much, much cheaper price.

It's perfectly possible to read a book on one (I have), as well as watch video, etc.

      • Really you're gonna go with a crappy rip your eyes out lcd screen. for that kind of money just buy the kindle and forget the PMP part. Samoled hd is less write staining and worth it for the resolution.

This isn't a deal, sorry. I used to sell these things and in a single word, 'horrible'.
Unbelievably slow, terrible res on the screen, shocking battery life and only supplied with a mini USB to charge the unit.
Seriously read reviews on the net if you really are considering a purchase.
The only purpose I see for them, and this is what I told my customers, use it as a test device to see if you like e-reading. Even still, this would be a horrible induction to e-reading.

    • this is not a good product but for this price it's a deal…consider HN is selling this for $149….
p/s: ppl mention about galaxy tab/galaxy note/dell steak…..but how much for 1 of those???

    • Thanks for the heads up, but not sure if you could vote it down based on it's a crap product. ;)
