[Switch] BLEED Complete Bundle - $6.30 (Was $42, 85% off) @ Nintendo eShop

80

This has a few key points to note

Firstly, Bleed and Bleed 2 have individually been on the eshop for years and have fallen as low as $4.50 and ~$5.60 respectively. This bundle contains both those games and officially released yesterday at $42. Fast forward to today and the game has an 85% discount that continues for 4 weeks.

Secondly,
BLEED has a metacritic score of 75 and a user score of 7.5
BLEED 2 has a metacritic score of 79 and a user score of 8.1

Third,
HLTB (How Long To Beat) lists BLEED as a game that takes 1.5 hours to complete the campaign.

It lists BLEED 2 at merely 1 hour.

Note that each game emphasises replayability as you unlock multiple characters with unique skill sets. Bleed 2 has a local co-op mode and challenge modes as well (I'm not 100% sure about the first game).

To conclude, this bundle includes both games for a heavily discounted price for reasons that are beyond me. They have good metacritic scores, but are short and are effectively $3.15 each - making the bundle better value than the individual games even at their all time low.

    • My review:
      I'm considering buying them

I've been researching and keeping tabs on these games for a while, but don't know if I'd have the patience for them. I've little experience with bullet hell games and am terrible at Mega Man which is what this game seems to draw a lot from.

    • Also never take into account one person's review of a game - especially via text.

Always take in multiple views, acknowledge criticisms and watch gameplay videos. I have done all of this and am still on the fence simply because of the genre.

  • those time to beat would be if you're not bad at the game… i played the first one on steam a while ago and remember it being kinda tough… either way, its a good value proposition and they aren't bad games

    • I clocked the first one in like an hour and a half or so and don't consider myself particularly good at it.

Replay value isn't very high, but if you're burning through the eShop dosh, I mean, there's waaaay worse games out there, these guys are pretty fun. I'd pay 6.30 for the pair. At least a good 3 or 4 hours before replaying or anything, cheaper than a movie ticket at least.

  • ….need to buy dead or school when it comes out, too sexy to resist.

    • +1

I saw that in the coming soon section

It honestly seemed like a high school kid made a joke game
