Good deal with Click Energy, better than last time by 10%, just make sure they are not more than 40% dearer than their competitors before signing up!

For those who are planning to sign up to Click Energy, don't forget you can up to $50 credit as an extra sweetener ($25 initially and then another $25 at 12 months) if you sign via the randomised referral link on this page.

    T+Cs: https://www.clickenergy.com.au/click-circle-terms-and-condit…

From my knowledge when I signed up, they paid the first $25 within one month, and I'm waiting for the 2nd $25 at my 12 month anniversary soon :)

Also, I can confirm online payment through their portal definitely works.

I have the worst experience with Click Energy. Don’t want to deal with them again.

      • What happened?

          1. I was on quarter instalment, they charged me higher instalment amount based the calc of (base - discount) resulting me overpaying.
          2. They did not notify me the discount earned during the quarter only applies in the next quarter bill when signing up.
          3. This triggered me - they sent an email to my junk folder saying: they want to increase my monthly instalment using base rate before discount causing me to pay $300+ pm instead of $100+ pm. The change will happen if I didn’t reply in xx days. It’s in junk folder compared their other emails are in normal folder. They are scammy.
          4. Since 1/7/19, all the energy providers should provide a single rate to customers. The discount should be applied with a single rate, but they didn’t not do it until I switched to another provider - final bill. Remember I overpaid instalments? They closed my account and labeled the final invoice as occupier and didn’t want to apply the credits to the final invoice until I warned them to complaint with the regulators.

That’s my reasons to avoid them.

@AussieGargain: And for 1) I have gas and they gasomate every other month, at twice what my usual amount is. “But you get it as credit when we do get a reading” but you keep my money in the mean time, lower it please. “Ok sure”, they did for one month, then it jumped back up. Rinse, repeat,….move on.

@AussieGargain: They sent an email to your junk folder?

            Really.

            • @jason101: Not sure why all their other email eg invoices, promotional emails were all in my inbox except this notice. That’s not the point, the point is that they will increase by default if I don’t say “No” to them specifically.

          • @AussieGargain: Wow, that's not good.
Luckily I haven't had any issues so far…

      • their strategy is like people giving free trials hoping you forget to cancel the trial and end up getting charged.

They depend on you forgetting to prepurchase your energy.

  • You might want to add delicious month out into the Post: https://www.americanexpress.com/au/campaigns/delicious-month…

    • This is great, thanks!

    • great, but no click energy offer?

  • Didn't get click energy on my explorer n westpac cards prob cos im with click already

  • Finally some decent Amex offers.

    Thanks OP.

  • Does Hugo Boss take Amex?

Read into what the comedian is doing. Interesting stuff. Cool protest he's doing against the brand. Good on him!

  • The minimum spend for Klook has doubled from the last amex offer. Will need to run a denser itinerary. :(

Might be targeted, no click energy offer on the Plat or Reserve. I signed up with the last AMEX offer though.

  • No published prices on Click Energy's website, you need to leave your details for a quote, at which point I assume you'll be badgered by a telemarketer. Vic Energy Compare's price (which I know can be inaccurate) shows pricing almost spot on 40% higher than what I currently pay with GloBird. I only just did a round of research back in Jan before switching, looks like I'll be giving this deal a miss. For posterity though, could someone already with Click confirm whether you can pay in advance or pay any arbitrary amount? Vic Energy Compare shows you need to register direct debit details with Click so I'm wondering if you can only pay via direct debit.

    • I'm with Click but in NSW
You can pay via credit card
The plan I am on you have to pay an instalment amount for 2 months and then pay off the third month for the quarter due
Minimum amount for instalment is $50
Your pay on time discount goes towards next bill

      • Your pay on time discount goes towards next bill

That's a big NO for me then. What happens when you leave? Do you miss out on the final quarter's discount?

  • Has anyone tried purchasing New Balance gift cards? would this work for the credits?

    • yes worked fine

Can't get click energy offer to appear, is there a manual link? I did redeem it last time..

  • I haven’t had a single statement credit offer since December. Strange.
