  • Note that the 13" and the 15.3" screens are both the exact same resolution, ie. the 13" is a higher quality display.

The best combination of hardware etc, is probably the 14" listed above with a 9cell battery. (Also costs the most.)

  • can the E320 handle 1080p playback?

    • +1

i have no idea, but definitely yes.

      • +3

err.. you have no idea, but you're defintely sure???

        • sorry, being silly. looking at the specs, i'd be very very (very) surprised if it couldnt (it's not a netbook), but i dont know for sure.

  • +3

I vote this for the laptop deal of the year

  • does adding ram by yourself void the warranty?

Rather than pay $40 for only 4Gb, a 4Gb stick can be purchased at $28 elsewhere (i.e. total 6Gb).

    • +1

      It doesn't void warranty

      • Sweet! Base model with 64-bit windows for me then.

Thought this only had 2 USB ports at first and then read online that it has 3 which is standard.

        This deal is a winner!

EDIT: Looked at the wrong RAM online… a 4Gb stick is still $40.

  • Does anyone know how long this sale is going to last?

    • Yeah, I would like to know that too…

  • Would anyone know if Lenovo still provide Win 7 discs and other drivers discs with their laptops or do we need to make those stupid recover discs ourselves?

    • according to a few reviews i have read, you have to make them yourself. this is quite ironic considering there is no optical drive in the E320!

      • Yeah, they expect you to get an external optical drive. Lucky I have a spare. Bugger… was hoping for an official Win7 HP disc.

  • I can't work to get the E520 enhanced for $507 with ATI switchable graphics and i5 2520M. For that price I get the Intel HD graphics. Anyone to help me please?

    • +1

      http://shopap.lenovo.com/au/en/special-offers/edge_deals/

Click the link shown above and select the 'E520 Enhanced 6630 $649' then use the 'BULK5' after add to cart.

I recommend the 'E520 Extreme 6630', only more $70 but you can get i7 + 6G if you choose the E520.

      • Thank you very much for your help. I could manage to buy the laptop and through moneybackco :)

  • Was going for the Toshiba r700, had to get this for the price, hopefully stacks up.
My first non-toshiba laptop since 96.

    • r700 compared to edge or e series build quality might disappoint you, although i would consider them the top 2 brands.

  • +2

    it ended?????????????

  • +2

Yeah I tried putting my order in 2 minutes past noon and it won't accept.

At least I saved money.. -_-

  • +1

    looks like that :(

  • wow…at last ended now..was lingering around the checkout hours ago…save my money too

  • F#@K i missed out!!! i so wanted to e520 extreme for 577 WOW~!!!
"Coupon not valid for current shopping cart"
kept entering the code and it wasent working so i go back to ozbargin and guess what

    • The same thing.

      • That sux it ended. Was going to get a few guys at work to pick one up given the price.

        Oh well :(

  • any one has a new coupon code? it has end now.

  • +2

haha, another decision made much easier for me by virtue of the expiry of the coupon code. :p

  • Looks like its gone :(

  • so this coupon only lasted 1 day?
    whats the purpose of that?

  • Probably got slightly ozbargained.

    I just spoke to Lenovo..

apparently that code wasnt spose to be published its an internal code … so I think a few people who've order these laptops…. might get a phone call about their order!! opppppssss

    • I spoke to a lenovo staff about my order as i need to change from 32bit to 64 bit OS.
She said i need to cancel the order and i asked if i cancel the order can i use the BULK5 code, and she said yes. So she cancelled my order and i have put another new order for the laptop.

      All good.

      • well thats interesting!!

  • The code must have expired? I just tried it on quite a few different items and it was rejected on all.

  • I have a saved quote for a core i5 E320 with the intel wifi and bluetooth for $483 on my account still. Happy to transfer it over if anyone wants it :)I already ordered one on my other account last night. This one was for a mate, but he's passed on it.

    Just whim me here:
    http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/user/111660

    • Quote taken. You can stop whimming me now ;)

  • I ordered a E420 this morning, 243 AU money without 6630 card, how about this?

    • +1

how can you get this at $243?

      • -1

he got it more expensive, I only pay 199 AU money

  • Expired i think =/

  • Glad I decided to buy this when I had the chance. Need something to replace the old Atom N270. I think an i3 is a major jump up. Decided to get the extra RAM through lenovo. It was only $30 more after discount and while I could have spent $40 for an extra 4Gb of ram (total 6Gb), I don't have the time to visit Umart, nor research into ram types (I'm a bit rusty on RAM). Besides, I made sure it was only a single 4Gb stick so why settle for 6GB when I can get 8Gb - lol.

    Looking forward to this coming.

  • =.= i bought a non-6630 E420 and start to regret now………but this one is only 243 dollars…..
most specs are the same as the 699 one, while the only difference is 6630 (No), WWAN (Yes)…

    • Is this Lenovo Australia site as I can see E420 with WWAN option?

  • +2

Damn, missed it. (Took too long making up my mind lol.)

    • +3

      do not worry, mate.
you are not the only one.

  • Would $21 is the cheapest 4GB memory for the laptop? It's on Ebay from US http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?rt=nc&LH_BIN=1&_nkw=4gb+ddr3+…

    Any other place cheaper?

    • PLE locally have Kingston DDR 1333 SO-DIMM's for $35.. I would much rather branded RAM after too many times being burnt with generic due to weird compatibility problems.

Plus I have a bit of distrust with things like RAM from eBay..

  • +1

Damn it, I missed this deal by 2 hours… frick

  • I just got a notification, mine has been shipped! :)

    • Sure it was the laptop and not just the HDD? I've got a couple on order and the external HDD's all shipped, laptop still in the factory I would guess.

      • I also got a confirmation and only ordered laptop here

        • Damn you guys are lucky then, did you make any changes to the laptop? Im thinking the wifi card change made it a CTO which would take longer.

        • I only changed the os 32 to 64 bit, 4GB 1 dimm and Intel wifi.
My order went in on Monday morning.

    • Yeah, mine shipped on the 7th as well. Can't wait for this to arrive so that I can prep it and use it on my next field trip.

      • Yer min shipped yesterday, should be here soon enough :)

  • Wow.. It expired.

I just wanted to say. This sucks balls.
    Big, smelly, hairy ones.
    Cambodian ones.

I just deposited some money into my account 20 minutes ago and was up all night deciding whether or not to get the 14" I5 or the 15.6" I7.

I was so excited too =[ sighh..

    • +2

Didn't it expire like 2 days ago though..?

  • +1

Received the laptop today …. still in the box … will check on all configuration that were requested shortly.

    • Yeah, mine arrived yesterday too. It boots up quickly.

  • OK, so I've install my needed software onto the E320 and put it through it's paces a bit.

Definitely worth the $420 I paid for it.
