My favourite of all ice creams!!

    • +3

      mine too!

    • Better than Connoisseur?

      • +4

Ingredients are far less artificial that Connoisseur. Take a look yourself. Taste-wise, both are good though.

        • Yep, it's the only brand you can get in supermarkets here that don't have any added crap. But bear in mind that only applies to their simpler flavours: vanilla, strawb & cream, and another one which I forget.

          • @umexcuseme: Salted caramel's ingredients are pretty pure as well.

      • +3

        Taste is subjective.

However Haagen-dazs is the most honest ice cream you will find in supermarkets. Compare the ingredients of both brands to see what I mean.

        • +4

Unsure about honest as Haagen Dazs origins is actually America and Reuben Mattus invented the phrase "Häagen-Dazs" in a quest for a brand name that was purportedly Danish-sounding.

Still good ice cream thought.. And I guess, brilliant marketing.

      • Think its also important to note that texture is a little different because it was lacking additives

  • +1

    No salted caramel? :(

  • I have tried Peanut Butter in this and Harry's. I prefer Harry's a bit better because peanuts in Haagen-dazs taste a bit too salty.

  • +5

i don't have much faith in this one, every single time woolies have these Haagen-dazs deals, i could never find one by visiting multiple stores

    • +3

That's what Rainchecks are for lol

    • …someone likes ice cream!

  • +1

    This is on clearence

    • Where?

      • +1

Same price with clearence sticker at Vic Park WA.

  • Prefer Woolworths Peanut Butter version to this, this ones a bit too salty (but still nice).

  • +2

    Dazs ist gut

  • This or Reese's?

    • …or yoghurt?

    • Reese and Hershey's are just rebranded Bulla crap. Not great.

    • Reese's. But I don't that answer will be a popular answer on here.

      Each to their own.

Just for the record, it is half price at Woolies or Coles every second week. i.e $4.25.

  • +1

Why is the default price so expensive? It's such a small tub too.

    • +5

You'd have to be nuts to buy it at the usual price.

I had this before, not impressed, texture too hard, tastes too salty. Ben and Jerry is much better.

    • +1

This icecream is dense as it doesn't have as much air as other ice cream.

So you have to let it sit for 5-10 mins before eating.

I picked up one from my woollies today, plenty available.

    • Chuck it in the oven for a bit, you’ll get a smooth texture that way.

  • out of stock/unavailable already :(

    • +5

      …your waistline will thank you

      • +1

I'll probably find some other junk to throw in my gob

        • ..i hear kit-kats are pretty tasty. the big blocks especially…. ;P

  • 1 litre?

    • +1

sure …if you buy 2x why not?

      • +1

        Probably because 2 x 457 = 914.

        • +2

…ok 3x then. it wont go to waste ;)

  • +1

…ice cream. always with the ice cream. this is the ozbargain way….

  • Im not a fan of the peanut butter one, but the rest are all good.

  • Off topic. Of all these years I thought it’s some Belgium or Swedish brand ice cream but actually American!

    • ….yeh. just a fancy 'cosmopolitan' name to enhance the gourmet price point ;)

  • Isn't connoisseur this price on sale for 1L?

    • Better to compare weight for icecream.

  • This crap is on sale at Savemore in Springvale, VIC - TWO tubs for $5. Saw heaps of the peanut flavour one in store today. Similar to this past deal
