    It's not online only game. You can play campaign locally.

    And it's co-op. Couch co-op with split screen. Pretty fun game to play actually. I would recommend giving it a go if you are into this kind of games. I got it through EA Access.

  For online multiplayer, only one player is required to own the game for both of you to play.
  Can’t remember exactly how it works, but the second player is required to download the game as well.
