Been needing a line trimmer and found this.
Cheapest it's been with battery and charger
Total tools and Bunnings have it for $279 or skin alone is $245
Could be because the new 561PBS is now out but regardless it's a good deal.

that's like comparing payless shoes to branded shoes, or like a haval/great wall to a more "well known" brand
Agreed with comment above. I got one of these last year on a similar deal and Bunnings did a price match beating the price by 10%. Definitely a solid line trimmer with a long battery life. I normally only have to use it on "Low" speed and only use the "High" speed on really thick grass or if I'm in a rush. I haven't used the Ozito line trimmer, but have used other Ozito tools, and they don't compare to a brand like this. You won't go wrong with this DeWalt.
fair enough - I am genuinely asking because I have a few Ozito tools/batteries already.
I also have DeWalt drill, which I got after I returned the Ozito drill, so yes I know what you guys mean.
Thanks.
For domestic use I think Ozito is good value and exceptional value if you can buy when it's on clearance. Have their brushless 36V mower and brushless jet blower and they do a great job.
Been thinking about getting the Ozito trimmer skin but it only has a single line and it's not brushless. But it does have bump line feed feature which is very handy and you can split the shaft into 2 parts for easy transportation. I mow a few lawns so these features are important to me.
The kit only comes with 2Ah batteries which won't last long. Some pros and cons to consider.
Bump feed is very satisfying (It's on my ego)
And saves alot of time.
Can confirm I pricematched this a couple months back at Bunnings.
Happy with it so far!
Almost bought this yesterday, however lots of Amazon UK reviews of motor failure.
Edited.
i have been wanting to buy a replacement line trimmer for long time, my 10+ yo 2 stroke trimmer started leaking petrol for the last 4-5 years.
please tell me should i buy this one
This was my justification!
2 stroke tools are pretty bad for the environment as well. No need to mix fuel, or spend 20 mins trying to get the bastard going!
should i pull the trigger i don't have any DeWalt stuff lol
If you're already invested in another battery system probably not, but if you're already on XR then for sure!
@picklewizard: too late, bought one already!
i only have a 5+ yo cheapo ryobi drill set
see if i can pick it up tonight
but the smell of 2 stroke!
will this cut thick long grass?
I went to Total Tools to pickup my online order only to find out this one is Sydney Tools. LOL
Lol I've done that before
Got 1, no stock at Preston store but shipment expected next week. Now to start collecting all the DeWalt 18v range to sit alongside my aeg"s 😚 Ive always like that yellow, nice work OP
Saw the same kit at Bunnings for the same price.
"404 Not Found We could not find the page you are looking for." :(
Haven't been to a Bunnings store but can't seem to find anyone with this (or a similar) kit online anymore. All the online's I visited were 'skin only'…
any comment this vs Ozito trimmer kit? (https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-2-x-18v-cordless-line-…)
