Does the bottom of the chair seat have webbing structure or solid wood?
I have been looking for decent chair that has long term quality (solid wood rather than webbing that must be replaced every now and then)
Bottom of the chair has a really thin wooden base surrounded by thicker wood.
I think I like the Zia 7 piece better. Same price but that's its normal price not on sale like this one. For those who prefer a glass top anyway.
Does a glass top show a lot finger marks/ smudges?
I've never owned one but I'd say yes, you'd want some spray and wipe it down every so often I think.
Looks cheap to me. I think I'd prefer to pay the same amount and get a better quality one from a second hand furniture dealer, etc.
Rubberwood veneer!? Margins must be thin if they can't afford to use solid pieces of the cheapest, nastiest wood out there.
Picked up one of these sets on the weekend as a cheap yet decent looking setup in my apartment. It's fine for the price and my girlfriend says the chairs are comfy enough but I wouldn't recommend buying this set if more than 4 people dine on it regularly. It'll feel too cramped with that many people. Chairs seem sturdy enough and have held my weight (85kg) standing on it and didn't feel like they'd collapse…
