For what it's worth: I recently bought a bed from Zinus, and the quality was way up there in all regards. It made other flatpack furniture look like a joke. The materials are strong and well-made. It was extremely well packaged, and all the small parts were packaged in individual compartments of a pack such that it was easy to work out which part to use for which step. The instructions were in colour (I have often wondered why other manufacturers still use monochrome linework), though I hardly needed them because the stickers on each part shows what connected to what. It even came with a ratchet. All in all, this is not the rubbish quality furniture you get from the budget furniture shops (which I have unfortunately bought plenty of).
