AmEx and Bpay

Hi ozbargainers,

I am considering getting the latest Qantas amex with 100k points.

I have a balloon payment of 4k on the horizon for my car. They only support bank transfer or bpay.

Does amex support bpay and if so does anyone know if that will suffice to cover the minimum spend to get the points?

Our Amex allows Bpay but treats it as a cash advance and cash advances did not count towards minimum spend requirements for bonus points.
I would be double checking with AMEX before going down this road tbh

      They do and that’s why you have to calculate the fees vs. value of points.
