Items can be sent/ received within: ACT: Canberra, NSW: Sydney, Newcastle, Central Coast, Wollongong, QLD: Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Brisbane SA: Adelaide VIC: Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Bendigo, La Trobe

Still if your parcel meets the criteria then it's pretty good

    • Interstate and outer suburb deliveries require you to add CouriersPlease Ezylink coupons

      Question is, how many couponS?

      • Hi, only 2 deals per person but with regards to the coupons we'll check-up on that for you.

      • Just go to the www.couriersplease.com.au site and check.Expensive if you are outside your own city metro area.
Interstate shipping is much cheaper using www.fastway.com.au

  • Fine print makes this hard to understand if its a bargain
    I'll stick with www.e-go.com.au

    • +1

i use e-go, but at least this guys you can pick up the phone and ring :P

    • +1

I just made a quote with them for something i need to send.

      Australia post want $15
e-go wants $42 and they say delivery will take 2 weeks!

    • +1

I use e-go too but lately they keep charge me with "adjustment payment" direct from my credit card only base on their "machine" which do the measurement for the dimension of the item (and they can't proof it too). And it's hard to contact them only by email to clarify this. It's end up I have to pay more than others.
      So it's a good bargain.

      • Pay via paypal - they can't take anymore money out.
They have sent me "adjustment payment" once and I just ignored it.

  • With the rising postage prices at auspost, even if you have to add $3.52 to send someone not specified, I think its a great deal! Ordered 2 :D

  • just ordered 2 - $5 for 25kg is a bargain

    • Glad you liked it :)

  • Read conditions properly before you buy. Just in case.

Has anyone had experience using Couriersplease and their voucher system? I did a quote from Melbourne (3000) to Brisbane (4000) and was quoted 1 of this vouchers + 4 Ezy coupons..if each coupon is $3.90…then this really isn't worth it?

E-go is usually better value for bigger/heavier items…like a computer monitor. If you're sending small parcels, I find Auspost's standard satchels better. Not sure about couriersplease tough.

    • Couriers Please is pretty good - eParcel is an excellent way to go if you are moving a bit of volume on small packages but this is a great deal! Perfect for us when we have to get an HP Server up to Brisbane. :)

      • Thanks for the review warcom. Guess small parcels is still cheaper with Aus Post then…at least the satchels are standard price Aus wide.

On another note..warcom gonna do another good deal soon?

        • We will pick something out in a few days and put a post up. :)

  • Does that mean say i want to send a box from Syd 2000 to Mel 3000 it would cost me 1 voucher + $3.90?

    • Weight dependant and size as its "cubed" whan measuring

      Compare freight pricing:
      http://www.fastway.com.au/1Prices.html

      http://www.couriersplease.com.au/content/view/33/99/

I do like couriersplease booking via online, just too easy and no hassle.

    • Hi zman09,

To send interstate and to outer suburbs you will need EzyLink Coupons. I've pasted the relevant Fine Print point below:

      • Your collections/ deliveries are to take place within the metropolitan area - Interstate and outer suburb deliveries require you to add CouriersPlease Ezylink coupons ($3.52 each when combined with your Prepaid coupons)

It depends on the size of the box you are sending.

      Hope that helps,
      Bizz Buzz

  • Ego.com now are becoming too greedy as alot of people are complaining about a sub charge due to the underestimate on dimensions,They took extra $20 from my co workers acct via credit card without notice due to their scam of claiming we under estimated the dimensions. Also they refuse to remove the storage of credit card details on their site. They recently sent me an invoice for $2.20 for under estimating by 9mm,when i did online qoute using their dimensions it worked out the same cost.Couriers please vouchers are a bargain at this price

  • hey seems very cheap but i hate couriers please whenever i have a problem with a parcel its always couriers please all my suppliers have a permanent note on my acct not to use them for me but occasionally they still do.

Ive lost count the number of times a package has been left on the dock at homebush, to their credit last time or perhaps because my supplier jumped down their throat a urgent parcel was sent to me after hours from homebush via taxi, that mistake cost them $140.

  • The OP has mislead his offer as the conditions are quite difficult to meet for all people to qualify.
I use couriers please, costs me about $10.65 inc gst to ship up to 25kg metro.
But being outer suburb Narre Warren South we usually get "next day" delivery, unless the driver picks up at 7.30am.

However if you are inner metro city then a good deal for local metro deliveries.

For a similar service, 25kg local metro, i use www.Fastway.com.au, only $6.70 inc gst per coupon.

  • Can be good, depends on a few factors:
Usually OK for heavy items but they cube all measurements and are not so great unless its going to a metro area (cept Perth)
Also coupon system can be a bit confusing IE wasted time.

Only thing……. they are ROUGH! Watch out with delicate items!

So a conditional positive from me.

    • Ha ha…. Box marked "FRAGILE" "URGENT" will always "get lost" or arrive days late, contents will be guaranteed to be broken.

BTW insurance with couriersplease is extra cost.

  • +1

Is there really any alternate to Australia Post for parcels under 1kg, mostly being 250-500g?

    • Completely agree mate.
Most countries have "small parcel" or "Petite parcel" as a category.
Wish there was something for when an item is tiny but too thick for a letter.
We just have to get slugged $4.75 for each one.

  • Bought one, seems we have to wait till the deal ends in a week or so for delivery.

  • Weird conditions giving no real idea of cost. I use interparcel.com.au & have been amazed at the difference in prices between courier companies, sometimes saved $150 (no joke!!) just by using their cheapest courier (they're a reseller of major couriers). Never had a problem with them.

  • +1

@seanbsydney: totally agree with you, in and of itself, this sounds like a good deal, but the conditions are such that it is hard to decide one way or another. Having said that, when you work your way through the nitty gritty, it's quite ok, so I am going to grab a 10 pack.

@ozbargain: This thread could go on for a bit, but the fact of the matter remains that sometimes certain couriers work better than others in price for particular parcel/destination combos - so you have to spend the time to compare in order to save $$.

To summarise for the benefit of others, for larger parcels, services that I have used and others have recommended here include:

    http://www.interparcel.com.au
    http://www.Fastway.com.au
    http://www.couriersplease.com.au
    http://www.e-go.com.au

Personally, I have used e-go more often than the others as their depot to depot rates work out to be very cheap - but of course that requires you to drop off and the recipient to pick up at the other end. They also offer depot to door if the recipient can't collect, at cheaper rates than door to door.

For smaller parcels, use the auspost satchels (cheaper in bulk packs of 10), or the even cheaper ebay auspost satchels which can even be used for sending non ebay parcels.

Lastly, there is an exciting announcment! eBay has just done another tie up with AusPost to bring you 15kg flat rate boxed parcels, more details at the post I just made about it here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/51994

  • One question:

Couriers please usually does not include any insurance. In the listing it says "up to $1000 insurance per article".
So these vouchers already have the insurance paid? Or is it just "available"???

    • +1

@King Tightarse: The insurance is paid up to $1,000. We recommend contacting CouriersPlease to verify any questions you have regarding insurance.

  • hey guys - this one has just 2 hours left until its gone.

  • Did people get their Couriers Please vouchers yet?

    Nothing so far for me…

  • Yup! Received. Did you email [email protected] with all the info? I think perhaps quite a few were sold and they are a bit behind in processing them.

    • Not yet///

      • Yeah email them with your voucher info. If you are not registered with Couriers Please include your business/personal info such as contact name/business address/phone number.

What will happen is a couriers please driver will rock up a day or two after receipt of a confirmation email with your labels. You will have to sign for them.
