    20 km/h is pretty pathetic
    250 watts is pretty pathetic.

Ideal electric bike would be 25 km/h and 1,000 Watt.

      And illegal?

1000watts? You need to get it registered, can’t ride on normal bike paths I’d imagine(might be wrong there) and probably requires all the same requirements as a motorbike.

      Actually found it.

This is not exactly an electric bike but a pedelac as you'll need to pedal for the assist power to kick in. No pedaling no power.

Think of it as a boost when you're pedaling uphill.

Pedelacs are consider bikes only if it has less than 250w of power.

    • 20 km/h is "pretty pathetic" but 5km more is completely fine..?

We own 250 watt and 200 watt bicycles and they're great. We have a 250 watt motor fitted to a massive cargo bike and it's a very long way from pathetic. It's much closer to awesome. :P

    • Given how my Mrs rides her bike @ 6-9kmh, if I got her this I could at least get a little workout.

  • Free delivery by Kogan First? Remember I tried last time, it was not part of it. They are now?

    5800mah @ what voltage?

    • 42 volts according to the Kogan specs.

  • Does anyone have one of these that would be willing to provide a quick review?

  • FYI No free delivery to WA, even with Kogan First.

  • also interested in any ozbargain reviews of this ebike - don't tend to have too much faith in other reviews on the web. do find the weight of 14.5kg pretty attractive - so many ebikes are coming in at 20kg+ still, a price to be paid in terms of 16" wheels and super extended seat post and handle bars.

    • It's relatively lite-weighted because it's smaller than a normal size e-bicycle.

      • certainly less frame and smaller wheels to pull down the weight. Strangely, a lot of foldy bikes tend not to be lightweights (my own old Aldi foldy weighs a lot more than my flat bar commuter)

  • Any tips of not having it stolen in the first week?

    • Fold it up and carry it inside with you.

      • 15kg is a lot of work.

        • The good folding bikes allow you to still make use of at least one wheel to roll it around when folded up.
However, I have no idea about this one.

  • So you wanna be a Chick Magnet!!

  • The deal is expired already? The item is not covered by Kogan First BTW.
