Was looking at the LG W7 deal and this seem a lot better especially battery life.
Seems like a great fitness tracker that looks like a watch.
https://www.gsmarena.com/amazfit_gtr-review-2015p3.phpHave been using the 47mm stainless steel model for the last 4 months. I would say, it is an excellent watch for day to day use, with long battery time. I usualy charge it once in 3 weeks. It is a good basic smartwatch with all the necessary features. Works well with both Android and iOS.
3 weeks with always on display?
It is not wearos, right?
Nope it's a propriety light OS.
No. Not with always on display.
Have had mine for 6 months now, great screen and build quality, would definitely recommend.
Initially there were reports of it taking too long to find a GPS signal. This has been fixed with a firmware update and mine only takes about 15-30s.
Has had a few updates since launch which seems to suggest it will continue to be supported which is great.
Can battery last a few weeks with always on display?
Based on my experience with the watch using always on display I get around 5 to 7 days before I need to charge it again. There are new smart always on display modes which are meant to help battery a bit but I haven't tried it. If I turn always on display off I'm currently at 19 days without changing and it's only dropped to 49% battery left so insanely good battery life.
Pair it with a third party software like notify & fitness and you get a lot more customisation than the stock amazfit app.
I also second GPS for me at least now works and fixes relatively quick if you are outside post the software update.
Hope that helps.
i have bought nearly $1700 worth of Godox equipment from them. Always quick with deliveries and all items in stock.
Just don't try and buy a Xiaomi phone… Status 'in stock', but NFI when we'll get stock.
My wife needs a smart watch to seewho is calling and read text messages at work. Is this a good option? She uses an iPhone 10.
Or get a galaxy watch active version 1
This will notify you of a call, but I don't believe you can decline etc like you can do on actual smartwatches.

It's double the price?
Because this watch is on special, and the ones I sent you are not on special. I paid $189 for my wifes Rose coloured one.
@onlinepred: That's fine, but I want to get something in the next few days.
@Fabio08: All orders will ship within 24 to 72 working hours. (Saturday and Sunday excluded).
After your item is shipped, please allow us another 3 – 8 working days for delivery to metro areas.
@onlinepred: As in I want to order something in the next few days, not wait for an item to come down 50% in price before buying.
Have only ever bought from these guys once, and the items never arrived, communication is horrible, would still be chasing them for a refund but paid with Amex, so was able to get a refund through them. I even got an email from the courier (Aramex/Fastway) saying that it was considered a lost package, but Toby still refused the refund till they spoke to Aramex Hong Kong. Will never buy from them again, no matter how cheap.
Good info. Always seeing their great prices ans curious. If the seller doesnt backup distribution 100% then not worth the risk. Fastway are a death sentence, I've had two national parcels get lost with them (one where they sent my dad's parcel to QLD and another random parcel to my dad in NSW) and they DNGAF.
Yep Fastway are the worst, I always dread seeing the tracking email coming in and seeing its with Fastway, becomes a gamble. I wouldn't be as mad if the seller would take some responsbility, but in this case Toby Deals don't take responsibility and hope the problem just goes away, which in this case it did via Amex - Thanks Amex for your quick work in this.
How about compare with LG W7? Except no GPS, no heart rate monitoring.
42mm okay size or is this classed as small?
They have upped the prices again, geeez that annoys me. They've lost my business.
They have upped the prices again
Still see the same price $172 before discount.
You need to apply the coupon at checkout to get the discount
I have the 47mm GTR and am very happy with it. Battery life is fantastic. Heart rate accuracy is very good. The GPS is functional and locks on within 20 seconds, although accuracy appears to be +-10m. The accuracy issue seems to be relative, so it doesn't really impact the measure distance etc.
What did you measure the heart rate accuracy against? Most reviews say both GPS is slow and unreliable and Heart Rate is inaccurate.
I remember ordering this watch from TobyDeals from a previous deal and after weeks of excuses about stock not coming in I was finally given a refund. I then ordered on Geekbuying and got it within 2 weeks. Personally I wouldn't use TobyDeals after that interaction.
The watch itself has been a great purchase. Accompanying app is solid, plenty of watchface options are provided and more are available on the AmazFaces app. Battery life is great and GPS fixes easily for me when the watch has a clear path above it (avoid trying indoors and in city areas). There are plenty of others with GPS issues though so it's something to consider.
Ordered this afternoon and its been dispatched already!
I am still thinking, 47mm seems a bit too large for me.
I ended up going for the 42mm for my wife.
Same but for myself after watching this video because of I have around the same wide of wrist like him, 47mm is quite large for me and stainless a bit heavy.
@superforever: The Amazfit T-Rex just released :

Completely different price and look
True, but not sure if I only need the band for step counter or need something more advanced.
have they increase the price? i use the code Cart3 on the 47mm alloy and it brings the price down to $179 only
Logged in with account?
Which model you tried?

i tried to buy Xiaomi Amazfit GTR 47mm - Aluminum alloyhttps://www.tobydealsau.com/en_AU/product/xiaomi-amazfit-gtr…
Aluminum alloy version price gone up to $185 so cart3 only 3% off
@superforever: bummer. i thought it would be the case.
@Svky: I think the aluminum version is better and lighter.
The Stainless Steel also gone up now.
Arrived with seal tape, that is quick.
Happy with product?
Looks very good and the 42mm perfectly fit my small wrist and the size looks really like real watch not too thick.
Even it is not android wear but all I want is notification, better battery life, always on display, some fitness features.
I have small wrists(measuring at 6.45") and using G-Shock carbon core which fits perfectly. Wanted to replace it with smartwatch, narrowed it down to GTR and MI Watch Color.
Would you mind sharing your thoughts on 47mm, is it too big or manageable comparing with 42mm?
TIA
@rendev: After watching this youtube I bought the 42mm but I don't think 47mm would be a huge difference.
Depends whether you want lighter and don't mind shorter battery life.
I use to wear a bit smaller watch that is why I prefer 42mm and also want lighter and don't mind charge it more often (I have a bigger LG Urbane which I have to charge everyday, it is too large and too heavy)
I think I should be still OK with 47mm and I have around the same small wrists like you.
Check out this video they have 47mm and 42mm side by side doesn't look big difference in size but mine didn't come with extra band as mentioned in the video.
@superforever: Thanks. Will try 47mm.
@rendev: Just be aware only the 47mm has 24 day battery life…
Found this in a review.
"The 24-day battery life mentioned earlier is for the 47mm variant as it has a larger 410mAh battery. The smaller 42mm variant only has a 195mAh battery, which only delivers a reported 12-day battery life."
Anyone got any experience with this watch? I am tempted, but not sure.
