i've had one of these for two months now. i'm very happy with it except i think it overestimates calories burned, especially by walking for some reason. sometimes it reckons i burnt 500 calories in an hour slow walk. but for the steps and sleep it's spot on and for most other workouts too.
You might want to check the Fitbit forums before buying. Lots of reports of them quitting tracking exercises (a range of models). I'm returning mine because of it. It's an issue that has been around for a number of years with 'there'll be a fix soon' promises from Fitbit all that time. Basically a permanent design flaw it seems.
What do you mean by this just purchased a charge 3 today and now im thinking did i do right thing.
Say you tell it you’re going for a walk. I found part way through a one hour walk it just quit the activity and went back to normal mode. During an activity it keeps track of your pace and heart beat zone, which is useful. For example you might want to keep your heart beat up in the weight loss zone. If it quits the activity you’ve lost that. It will still count steps, but any fitness tracker does that.
Fitbit will tell you to reset it, restart it. All kinds of things, but nothing fixes it. This is a flaw that has been around for years. I can’t believe they can’t fix it. Shame because I liked the Charge 3 apart from that.
