Good price for the extreme, and the 4gb micro sd

But the 8gb micro sdhc is $10.30 on SS eBay - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SanDisk-8GB-microSDHC-8-GB-micro-…

    • WTF! - they want AUD$10 postage = $20.30 rather the the $11.99 in this MobiCiti offer…. FAIL!

      Plus it's Shopping Square…

      • Funny thing is their online store always expensive than their ebay price.
Guess they like to donate to eBay :D

    hi rep

do you have mobile ultra micro sd cards?

    • sorry, we don't have Ultra Micro SD cards.

    • -2

do you have mobile ultra micro sd cards?

There is no such thing as "ultra micro sd"

yes there is.. its mobile ultra, micro sd cards

been using the 4gb for a few yrs.

        • -1

          Sorry, i misunderstood.

I thought you meant "ultra micro sd cards" for a mobile phone.

They are only a class 4 card and the non "ultra" ones are class 4 so i do not know what advantage you will get from the "ultra" card.

    @mobileciti
Have you run h2testw on one of these from this batch just to make sure its not fake? You know, to avoid a repeat performance of the fake Kingston cards you sold last time?

      Hi stumo

All the issue on the kingston has been fixed. we won't selling kingston anymore.

I have been selling sandisk for long time, never had issue with sandisk.

      • +2

I don't think its as much about the brand as it is your supplier. Sandisk has probably more counterfeits than Kingston.

So are you using your usual Sandisk supplier for this batch?

        • Yes, Same supplier for Sandisk.

        • +1

          Ok thats cool.

Though is there any particular reason why you wouldn't run h2testw on one random card every now and then?

If I were in the flash business these days it would be a no brainer really. Even if you had to sell the 1 in 500 tested card as open box for a bit less than normal.

          Hi Stumo

Thanks for your advice, we will run random memory card testing by using "h2testw" which you have been suggested.

Fair, but lets not bash them too hard aye? You know, to avoid them no longer giving us good deals..

That was Kingston and this is Sandisk. They have brought us excellent Sandisk deals in the past with no problems, more specifically, nearly 250+ votes across these 3 sandisk deals alone:

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/46802
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/47575
      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/48172

And they were more than accommodating to provide replacements in that instance, even giving sandisks in the place of kingstons to ensure customer satisfaction.

      • I know and I have bought from 2 of those deals.

But its a pretty serious screw up to suddenly start selling fake flash. If anything, its more likely to catch people out, and those photos will be gone forever.

        • But its a pretty serious screw up to suddenly start selling fake flash. If anything

I do not think an Australian based store would knowingly or willingly sell fake memory cards as the ACCC can penalize them.

Because it allows for easy profits to be made fake goods are finding their way into the legitimate suppliers.
There have been many cases of fake drugs getting into UK chemists and hospitals and even one case i know of here in Australia.

        • +1

I think its obvious they didn't knowingly do it. I'm not sure what your point is?

My point is, why wouldn't they just run the fake flash test on one card every now and then, especially if using a new supplier etc. Its not like the industry isn't rife with fake flash or anything lol.

This is exactly the kind of sentiment that would be put to bed pretty quick if they started doing a wee bit of testing. They could even list the results to show the actual speed of the cards etc. I'm sure consumers would give them more credit for doing that.

        • I think you're reading a bit too much into it, if its happened a few times then yeah procedures need to be put in place to ensure the integrity of the product but a one-off freak accident is hardly reason to change things. Especially when their pricing is probably the best around for the sandisk sdhc cards, if they have to start testing cards, that increases their overheads, which increases their costs, which increases the price they pass onto the consumer.

  • @mobileciti, cannot find the Sandisk Extrema HD video 16gb for $42.89. Good deal though.

Great price! Just got a 16gb. Thanks

can you please do 32 GB micro sd special for sandisk?

    • Beat shopping square's $48.95 for OEM. :D

  • Do you still get Sandisk's Aus manufacturers warranty or "Mobicity warranty"?

    • Sandisk's warranty.

  • Why does it charge for shipping???

  • Hi,

I'm trying to order the 8GB $11.99 Micro SD but the website is not offering me free shipping. Is there a code?

    • Sorry, Fixed!

  • What is the difference between OEM and non-OEM for microsd?

    • OEM doesn't come with retail package, Non-OEM come with retail package, same product.

  • Rep, no free sim this time?

  • Since a USB2 card reader will be bottle-necked by the speed of USB2 transfer, how do we actually test the read and write speeds of these 30mb/s SD cards to see if they are real or not?

Are the ones built in to laptops able to read and write at those speeds?

    • how do we actually test the read and write speeds of these 30mb/s SD cards to see if they are real or not?

If the card is fake then slow read or wtire speeds will not matter.

They do not make full capacity cards which are slow to read/write.

Fake cards have less storage space than the label says they do.

      • What if it's a fake card in the sense that it is just say…a slower card than advertised?

  • @mobileciti:
Any chance of doing a special deal on Sandisk Micro SD 32GB??

    Cheapest I've seen is $46.95 + postage (http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/product.php?id=83546)

    • Beat shopping square's $48.95 for OEM. :D

Their ebay is cheaper for some retarded reason.
