These items are still obtainable in-game. I don't think this constitutes a bargain because it isn't cheaper than usual or cheaper than expected. It is exactly the price I expected for these items in the game.

I would say code for dive balls are not a bargain but bottle caps and BP are very valuable in the game.
People would trade rare pokemon for a bottle cap. Definitely a good save.
