      There's two different versions of the Mijia pen, the white one and silver/gold one.
      I have both, the white one is rubbish but the silver/gold one is amazing

      This is nothing new, been going on since plus started. EBay plus items get the seller a shipping credit. That way they can jack the shipping up and bring the item price down. That would maximise their use of the shipping credit system, while maximising sales to plus members as plus members get free shipping or shipping coupons on plus items. EBay probably doesn't care as it would influence more people to get plus which they want.

      Sellers can also see whether the buyer was a plus member or not. They could use that info on sales before jacking shipping up to get a gauge of the number of plus vs non plus sales, then jack shipping up to maximise profits as they know they get a lot of plus business.

      In a lot of eBay deals recently this is how it works. It's worth getting plus as a result if you buy on eBay a lot. Otherwise just get a trial.

      It's certainly a rort. I'd much prefer being send a $15 voucher than see sellers profit on low value items by price gouging the shipping.

      Yeah same here. You have to hold it almost vertically to write it and it still isn’t smooth enough. It feels like it’s scratching.

        If you're used to a ball point pen then the rollerball pens will feel scratchy until you get used to writing with them, you should need to use much less pressure on a rollerball than a ballpoint…

        I've already received mine and although it's not as good as my waterman rollerball pens it's pretty good for the price.

        Remember it's 0.5mm not the 0.7-1mm you're probably used to, even the Uni-ball rollerball pens everyone has probably used at some point are 0.7mm gel pens… smaller nibs are always going to feel more scratchy than larger ones and always make the paper quality more obvious.

    These pens are rubbish anyway. They look great but that's it. Every one I've had has leaked ink everywhere. My kids don't even like then.

    IMO the best pens are Uni Jetstream - super smooth to write with, the ink dries real quick and the ink is consistent.

    Plus they never leak!
