Is this better than the Kmart one?

Anything is better than Kmart anything, contrary to what 250kg women might tell you

Maybe it's just my bad luck but the couple of tower fans I've tried were pretty crap; not much air for the noise. I'm sticking to the ol proven normal fan blades to push more air.

Super noisy… As are all tower fans.

    • Thanks for your honest feedback. Very much appreciated 😊👍

    • I’ve the FA7450 and even as a light sleeper I’m pretty happy with it.

      I can't complain. I'm a fan…

Towering over the rest of us…

  • Not knocking you, OP, because it would be a good price- unfortunately, the fan isn’t any good :(
I bought this model from TGG three weeks ago, and returned it the next day. I have a small home office and just wanted something to get a bit of air movement. This, on the lowest setting barely moved the hair on my head. The highest setting was ‘ok’, but that was all it had- if the day got any hotter it would have probably been completely useless, and I was running it at full power.
Ended up getting a Nordic TF101N- they gave it to us for the same price as the Sunbeam one. BUT, the rude bastard charged my husband a ‘restocking’ fee because we’d unpacked it!
Anywho, the Nordic at speed one was more powerful than the sunbeam at speed 3, and the Nordic at speed 3 blew the papers off of my desk, from across the room (I used the remote to stop the swing just shy of my desk and it works perfectly!)

    • How much did you pay for the Nordic?

    • BUT, the rude bastard charged my husband a ‘restocking’ fee because we’d unpacked it!

Are you saying he (or she, women can be bastards too…equality!) was rude for charging the re-stocking fee or just rude in general. The re-stocking fee is fair since there was nothing wrong with the product and you had, after all, unpacked it.

If you want good value in a fan then try this https://www.bunnings.com.au/ironhorse-75cm-black-industrial-… It will not just blow your hair around, it will blow your head around. On the lowest speed it is silent yet still moves decent air. It may not look (anything!) like the tower fan above but it has a great industrial design and some of my friends and family have bought one after seeing mine. To be honest I've never been this hyped about a bloody fan. Oh, and being a DC motor the power consumption is really low.

  • I've had one of these for a couple of years now. Still going strong. Very happy with it.
