What is Biltong?

Biltong is air-dried beef jerky, made from 100% Aussie Beef Topside, preservative-free.
Super-high in protein, it's the perfect any-time snack.
Unlike normal jerky, our biltong is also available in soft varieties, which are easier to chew, and also dry varieties, which are a bit more tough. Which do you prefer: tough or soft?

Product overview

• Our 'melt-in-your-mouth' Wagyu Beef Biltong is marbled, with a creamy texture, and a mushroomy-gamey taste.

• The Beef Biltong/Jerky Snapsticks are slightly tough like conventional jerky. Flavours:

• The Traditional Biltong is available in 'moist' or 'dry' and is less tough than jerky. Flavours:

Biltong.com.au is probably Australia's most popular online retailer of biltong, trading since 2007.

Unfortunately not yet, but we are working on some varieties, but we primarily do beef. The most exotic we have at the moment is Wagyu Beef biltong.

Do you add any sugar to your biltong?

    • +1

We only add sugar to our Smokey BBQ flavour, and a couple other flavours which are discontinued (Chilli Chutney, Sweet Chilli).

It’s a shame free delivery via shipster is over.
Do you have a pick from store option?

    • You can buy from our brick-and-mortar factory kiosk, but I regret the online shop (biltong.com.au) is for placing shipped orders only; the discount doesn't apply to the brick-and-mortar store in this case.

Nothing more Australian than gangs of South African biltong

      • The host was Malawian so he was a bit of connoisseur of biltong and he gave it the thumbs up so it must be good.

Because nothing says "Be My Valentine" more than dry, melt-in-your-mouth, withered up, old meat.

    • +4

Maybe it's for those that don't have a valentine.

They can just relax and have a nice jerky by themselves.

      • A rare actually funny JV comment found in the wild.

      • I like a jerky every night, doesn't everyone?
