I need some help to prevent me from impulse buying. Should I get this now or no? The only reason I'm holding out is because I'm still on crappy ADSL2
Think of all the single player games you can play, the Gains!
Don't buy
Get it now… waste your money now… Buy buy buy, you need a motherboard… Get a 4K monitor too. A 1TB NVMe SSD, and a 2080Ti. Get Samsung B-die quality RAM DDR4-3600+ as well eh?
Convinced. Cheers mate!
Haha good man! Now I just need a bit more Asian persuasion too and then I'd buy..
What's the cheapest mono to pair with this
What's a mono?
Do you mean mobo?yeh mobo typo
I bought 3600 along with MSI B450M mortar MAX (decent IO and VRM) last month, upgrade from E3 1230V2 + B75 M/B
yeah, the MSI B450M Mortar & Mortar MAX are highly recommended.
I went for the ASRock B450M Steel Legend and find it really good, too.I've been going back and forth between the mortar and steel for the past week. Can't decide which to go for!!
Not as cheap? It's only 25 cents more, you'll live lol
Probably isn't much point on me updating from the 3500x
if your mainly gaming, no none.
Is it worth to upgrade from Ryzen 5 1600 ?
For the IPC improvements, and if you're primarily gaming, I say yes.
I have a Ryzen 7 1700 and struggling to decide whether to upgrade to a 3600. Lose two cores but add ~500mhz of reliable clockspeed.
I think you should wait for the 4th generation coming out, if I am using Ryzen 1700 then I will wait
Agree with this game of thrones fan
just about to ask this….. (and what mobo?)
I am using Asrock AB350m pro
Worth the upgrade from i5 6500? or should i spend a bit extra for a R7
wait for either Chernobyl Intel 10th gen in March-ish for extra cores at lower prices
or
wait for ryzen 4000 September-ish
Am considering this but has it been confirmed that its coming out around those times?
Performance of 3700x is very marginal in terms of gaming, save the $ for better GPU
What are you planning to do after the upgrade? Gaming? If yes, are you going to get a new graphics card? If not, what graphics card do you have?
Generally, if you are asking this type of question, you don't need R7. You don't gain much from R7, other than the 8 cores / 16 threads make people think/feel it is kinda like i9 8/16 setup. R7 is kinda poor man's server CPU. You can get by, but if you really are into the type of workflow that benefits from high core count, deep down you really want R9.
Gaming with R7, honestly, it is waste of money… but I know how some gamers would justify getting a R7 - they want to do game streaming.
Free shipping if too, so might be the best deal.
