Hi
I am after a battery charger for C size batteries. 4 would be ideal but 2 would be ok.
For kids toys so the batteries need to be energiser compatible in terms of output and how long they last.

You're welcome.

It would have taken longer to type out that post than what it would have taken to put it to Google…

Sorry guys. I’m not really familiar with brands and was hoping someone may have one they particularly recommend rather than buying a dud which I’m very likely to do.
My eneloops came with a C adaptor, so I would use one AA battery in place of a C battery.
Assuming it all works, I would get Aldi rechargeables.
It depends on what batteries you are going to be charging, NiMH, LiPo Alkaline, etc… For kids toys, it's most likely NiMH.
The problem is that disposable C batteries are often around 1.5v. Rechargeable NiMH batteries are usually about 1.2v. While over one battery, this isn't much, but over 4 batteries, it can be up to 1.2v drop, so the rechargeable may give issues in things that are voltage dependant. If they are low draw toys, they would probably still be ok. High draw toys, they may seem to run out faster than disposable.
The benefit of rechargeable is their low cost to recharge rather than replace, and their storage capacity can sometimes be double to triple that of cheap disposable batteries.
I don't know how often it comes on sale, but for the household battery replacements, I use the Aldi (Bauhn) charger and their rechargeable batteries. I don't know if it is something that is always available, but it's been flawless since I got it and charges up to 6 AA/AAA or 4 C/D batteries at a time.
Thank you. Very helpful advice.

An assumption made that that you won't be trying to charge alkaline batteries with the charger suggested below.
You can read a bit about the 'Grand World of Alkaline Battery Recharging', here, just maybe read the conclusion.
Proper high-capacity NiMH C and D cells are available. Ansmann, Maha Powerex, and Tenergy are quality brands, but not cheap if comparing to some other brands. Those just contain a single NiMH AA cell, in larger casing.
Recent video, scam still going on - https://m.youtube/watch?v=5Q1MPrgea1MA brand called Opus and also some other chargers about, but one of these will do the job for you, if the Aldi charger suggested by pegaxs isn't currently available.

Appears some slippage from positive terminal with some C cells, possibly just to surrounding metal so maybe not a dealbreaker.Maybe of benefit for someone else, if OP now scared off.
Give same-branded batteries a bit of a miss, but a cheap charger that recharges both C, and D cells, and might be OK -

ReviewThank you. I’ll look them up now.
