[Switch] Killer Queen Black - $13.50 (Was $27, 50% off) @ Nintendo eShop

150

This is a highly underrated online and (now with its latest update) offline party/competitive game that has flown under a lot of people's radar since Nintendo's unveiling at their E3 presentation in 2018.

This game features online co-op play for up to 4 people in 4v4 games with 3 different paths to victory. The latest update allows for 8 player local play (using one console) as well for parties or situations where internet may not be available.

Full crossplay support is promised when the game releases on other platforms, but for the time being the game is only out on Switch and PC. Crossplay works seamlessly, but servers have been a little lonely lately due to lack of promotion and visibility surrounding this title.

The game is quite highly reviewed and I definitely recommend it!!

  • I keep reading that I should play it but I've looked at a couple of videos and it looks unappealing to me. Lonely servers don't sound appealing either.

    • All matches fill with bots anyway if there isn't enough. People not wanting to play because servers are lonely keep the servers lonely.

I may have played during a slow time of day too.

  • The servers aren't that bad, most online matches take about 30 seconds to start. Super fun gameplay, I've been playing with friends on PC and Switch across different time zones. Highly recommended!

    • You'll find most of those 30 second finds tend to fill with bots, however I'd love to be proven wrong. Such a fun game

  • Good game but devs really nerfed its potential by not allowing 4v4 using one console

    • +1

But that is allowed now. Hence maybe read the post…

      • Sick! Kudos to devs and you guys for letting me know

  • What game is this most similar to?

    • It’s based on the arcade game joust.
It started as an arcade game.
Two 5 player cabinets joined together for multiplayer.
I’ve only ever played it on arcade, can’t comment on how it holds up for an online game.

  • Great game, would recommend. Join the discord server as well and you won't struggle to join for matches online.

  • Dai-san no baku-dan: Bites za dusto

  • Great game for local multiplayer party game! (4 vs 4)

    Haven’t tried online.
