KGNCLUBL

Hi fellow OZB's.
You know the shpiel: first post etc etc, so please be kind !

I stumbled across this product, and whilst it does not appear to be 'on sale' or 'discounted' at the moment, I thought I'd post it here for all those people (myself included) that were stuck at work and couldn't get to a HN store and may have missed out on the recent TouchPad or MyTab deals.
And it seems to be a cheap price for a tablet - already running Anroid.

I'll leave it up to the OZB forum to discuss and analyse it this tablet is in fact a good product/deal, but it is being marketed on their website as:

"THE BEST VALUE TABLET PC IN THE WORLD"

Shipping costs may vary slightly (to metro Melb was $16), and calculated by entering in your postcode on the checkout page.
Use this discount code [KGNCLUBL] to get 5% off. (effectivelivy

  • 3 hours battery life is horrible for a tablet.

  • +3

omg 3 hours, you get more life on a AA battery

  • Seems okay at the price point being that it's from australia, but I wouldn't really call it a bargain.`The Ainol Novo 8 for $209 is a better deal with a 1270 x 768 screen.

      True.
But as per my post, I did say that I was not posting it necessarily as a discounted/sale deal… but rather another way of enabling OZBs to get a tablet for the sub $200 mark (or there abouts once you add postage!).

      • +9

Should be in the forums then.

      • +2

HP Touchpad? ZTE v9? Telstra Tab? 3 examples of entering the tablet market for sub 200$ :)

  • -1

    Is only Android 2.3

  • Normal price for this product so not a bargain.

If it was that great a price you probably would have put them all on hold and told people here not to buy them.

  • +1

normal price (actually pepole used to buy at lower price ) and this is not the best tablet

the best 7" up to now wa the "galaxy tab" deal for $299 or $279 price match at jb-hifi

  • Wasn't this around the $140 when first released/announced?

    • Off the top of my head, wasn't that the 'live prices' thing?

  • +6

Not convinced this is a genuine post.. Not a Bargain either

  • +5

OPs been a member for a while now, should know better about the whole "first post please be nice" thing =.=

  • Kogan :(

  • +3

Not a deal at all… just an advert.

  • Advert…

  • +3

When will "Feb 2010" users LEARN ?

  • +1

No such thing as a good deal on a rubbish product.

  • Unfortunately, the 3 hours battery life is dismal. The Optus My Tab is a much better buy, as was the HP Touchpad (although mega bulky and heavy).

"You know the shpiel: first post etc etc, so please be kind !"
If you "know the shpiel" you should also know how annoying/pointless/etc it is.
-1 on a crap deal anyway.

    • +1

      Fair enough…
      I'll accept defeat.

Thanks for all the neg feedback !… not !

    1) @megahowler: yes, this was a post, not an advert. I don't work for Kogan at all.
    2) @jLove: yes, I've been a member for a while, but just haven't posted before.
    3) @pizza: When I posted that I had reserved the last of a store's stock, its wasn't a brag, but rather to tell you not to bother driving their only to find there was no stock left. I was saving ppl the drive there. There were several people who had posted comments about themselves (or seeing others) having bought multiples of the TouchPads from HN, even though there was a supposed limit of one per person! Did you comment on all them ?.. I doubt it !!

  • Kogan :( Not a deal.

  • What's wrong with Kogan? (honest question)
