Only Mr Chens Bat Dumplings 300g would contain this

  • I still don't know how to cook this like what are all the best ways.

Looking mainly for the quickest/easiest/less clean up sort of way?

    Ideas? Thoughts? Hotel? Trivago.

      Steam

Can I install that into my kitchen or do I need the DLC for that?

Also what is the best way to steam them.

        Over cooktop or in microwave.

Remember I am going for ease and convenience and quick minimal clean up here.

i dont have a steamer, here's how i do it. You will need:

frying pan, lid, plate (slightly smaller than the pan)

      Steps:

      1) Add a few cm of water into the pan and boil it.

      2) When it's boiling, turn it down to a simmer then place the plate on top.

      3) Put the frozen Dim Sums on the plate.

      4) Cover it with a lid and let it steam for 5-10 minutes

Alternatively, substitute the plate with a colander, but make sure you add a lot more water for evaporation.

Edit: i saw your other comment, i hope this is not too much work for you haha…. cleaning steamed stuff is heaps easy compared to cleaning stir/deep frying mess.

Or check your cupboards to see if your rice cooker came with a steamer insert

    • Deep plate + water + microwave 5mins

    • I don’t have steamer but have been using this trick. Basically you need a pot with lid and a metal strainer. Now the key is to find a pot and a strainer with the same diameter so the strainer would sit nicely on the pot with the lid on top.

      • I am guessing the bottom of the strainer should not touch the water so the food does not get boiled partially by the water correct just cooked by the steam and steam only?

        • Correct. I put just enough water that it doesn't touch the strainer.

          • @foxes28: Thank you for the clarification I might give this a go now as I think I have the necessary tools to attempt this.

Mr.Chen's Prawn Har Gow….Yum! Even comes with a tasty soy type dipping sauce sachet.
Yep,prepare in a bamboo steamer….the only way.You know it makes sense.

  • I think this brand is fine. You just have to steam it properly otherwise the har gow will stick.

    • just spray/wipe some oil on the surface first and stick to the 8mins

  • Bugger just came back from ww, they only had half price sticker on the prawns which I am allergic to
