Only need to be connected to network so no consideration of call costs and data. What is the cheapest plan out there?

Meant to plus vote fat fingers.. cheers mate
Click "votes" and the stop sign which is in between the red vote and your username. That will revoke it
Aldi $5 sim, 12 month expiry,$15 subsequent recharge again 12 months expiry.
The bomb cheers but can I cancel before the year is up or port out to avoid the $15?
Haven't tried to do either, but had no problem porting from Aldi on some of their other plans.
That'd work. Find a $2 sim on a different network (ie not Telstra-based) and port out, then back to Aldi anytime in the first few days or month or however long that other sim lasts without a charge
Aldi $5
Got a link of the Aldi $5 plan details? I see Amaysim have a $10 365 day plan also…
Oops! can't find it anymore, there was a option to buy $5 sim with $5 credits sometime back. one of my friends got it then, sorry :(
Yeah I'm thinking it's finished, found this link and it suggests $15 is now the cheapest from Aldi… https://www.aldimobile.com.au/plans/payg/
Amaysim is the winner so far at $10 a year https://www.amaysim.com.au/plans/mobile-plans/as-you-go
@figarow: check this,
https://www.aldimobile.com.au/starterpack/
it says "Activate the SIM to unlock the $5 stored credit and you’re instantly mobile", but I am not sure about the validity of credits
@bazingaa: Included credit expires after a year
@kerfuffle: Sweet will check it out
Merged from Best Plan in Order to Keep Mobile Number While Overseas for The Next 2 Years
Hoping for some advice. I'm going to be living overseas for the next couple of years but want to keep my current Australian mobile number active for when I return. What is the cheapest way to do this?
Thanks in advance
Also does have a $5 PAYG sim pack which has 365 days expiry and after 1 year you can renew online for another year for $15 so all in all can get 2 year validity for $20
Aldi does have…
