Civ 5… one of the best games ever. I just can't be bothered playing it any more because games take so long and I'm trying the whole "real world" thing.

    • looool xD

    • real world is overrated.

Playing video games and having bargains/samples delivered to your door is better ;)

    • after I bought the civ 5 from gamersgate for 10$ one months ago, I have spend 25$ on DLCs already, it is not a cheap game for me now…

    • the real world - overrated.

Apparently it has the most realistic graphics and physics ever.

Not playing my games - nobody cares (except your "mates" if you're into MMORGs…)

Not play with my kids - get an earful from the missus…

      I know which I'd rather not do… :p

      • grow some kahunas?

      • LOL… funny - but you do have a point.

almost bought this as i've been hanging out for great prices, but a few things have put me off,
        * the DLC .. spending more on it constatly as well as the hours i know its going to consume each night. going to become a zombie for the next six months, while i put my life on hold to play this as much as possible.
        * I must be getting old but thinking about doing something more productive with my time.
        * Spending time with the fam.
        * jobs around the house. (home improvement)
        * using that time to start my own business so i can stop working for "the man".

problem with civ is that you can sit down for hours (or days) its not a game you can jump in to - get a fix on then walk away, this ones more of a spend hours on it then begrudgingly get off. - or get p'ed off when someone forces you off with nagging.

yeah, now with family, house, work, study - I can't afford the daily 10 hrs civ, 8hrs work, 6 hours sleep schedule I had with original civ years ago

  • Again they don't have something new.

  • I've passed up several times these discounted rates for this game but finally decided to buy it. Cheers!

damnit, bought it, absorbed in it already… ahhhhhhhh

  • Got this from gamersgate during the last promotion (at the same price). I can confirm it activates on Steam, shows up on both Win and Mac, and installs fine.

  • Good time to buy it too as they finally patched it for a whole bunch of stuff that should have been there in the first place. Like Multiplayer game saves!

  • I can't seem to find the serial in my account after I bought the game. I have two copies of civ5 there (pc/mac). But can't see anywhere where the serial is.

    • i had this problem too. it's on the right hand side, a button "show serial" should be there.

      • no not getting any button on the right hand side. Unless im completely blind. Been staring at the screen for ages wondering if im going insane.

I get Download and on the right hand panel details, review similar etc… nothing about serials.

        • Bug in the system my serial was not showing up. They fixed it for me. Very fast response from their support line.

  • Is the multiplayer aspect really fixed now?

  • Picked it up tonight and it installed/worked fine with Steam. Serial is on the right hand side of screen when you go to the the game in your "My Games" list.
