    Ive got a standard fitbit charge3 and have used fitbit pay. Whats different in this?

      The main difference is that the Special Edition version includes an NFC chip, allowing users to make wireless payments using Fitbit Pay. The Special Edition version also comes with different case designs and watch band combinations.

      Charge 3 includes:

      Fitbit Charge 3
      Classic wristbands (both small & large)
      Charging cable

      Charge 3 Special Edition includes:

      Fitbit Charge 3
      Woven or Sport wristbands (both small & large)
      Classic wristbands (both small & large)
      Charging cable
      NFC chip for Fitbit Pay

        That's for the US market. In Australia, all versions of the Charge 3 have fitbit pay

                @Hacheoy: Yes, seen that. A single web page for the both versions has made it more confusing & the NFC chip is not even listed under the special edition specs. I shall contact JBHiFi tomorrow and find out what's the reson behind the price difference between these 2 versions.

              Also I bought a non-special Charge 3 from Bing Lee and Fitbit Pay works just fine, so I can confirm this info is legit.
              Though we’re talking about the Australian standard version, if you import other countries’ standard ones (eg. from Amazon US) Fitbit Pay may not be included.

    These are going everywhere else for between $93 and $99 on ozbargain. No deal.

    $70 for an extra band? Fail.

        Because they're clearing out/discounting/price matching the regular one and not the special edition? It's a different SKU.

    The very purpose of this post was to help someone find the best price who specifically likes and wants to buy the FitBit Charge 3 Special Edition out of the box and this is the cheapest price for the special edition. Hence, I am editing the title to remove the comment regarding the NFC chip. That was not my focus point.
