Excellent Helmet, if a bit under-ventilated. However it's more Aero Focused than the ARO3, so fair play.
I personally have one of these and find it to be very good. At $170 it's a bargain.

  • Holy sheet.. what is it made of? Vibranium?

    • +1

No, made of gullibranium. The irony is, if you buy this, your brain is not worth protecting.

      • Man i got 5+ and 5- vote.. winnings!

    At $170 it's a bargain

Wow.. I remember complaining that $30 helmets were a lot! Lol
And $330 is motorcycle helmet territory,

Flagship model road cycling helmets are always around $300-$400 - it's just standard now.
With technology like MIPS inbuilt it's not bad.
Pricey, but all bike stuff is.

$330 for a motorcycle helmet is in the $30 cycling helmet range.
Should be paying more than $700 for a motorcycle helmet to protect the brain going at motorcycle speeds.

You should never try and save money on protecting your brain

      • I went straight for the Shoei and paid $1100 for it back about 5 years ago. I'd be naive to think that a huge chunk of the cost isn't just the brand name.

They since relaxed the laws around the design standards and riders started being able to buy helmets from overseas plus the manufacturers no longer had to go through the expensive testing required to meet our local standards. I assume the prices on helmets have dropped since then and you can definitely get decent motorcycle helmets for less than $700.

Just a warning to anyone thinking of buying without trying it on. The size is smaller than most other brands.

I did try a long time ago at the Sydney CBD store. I usually wear a large, I don't recall them being a comfortable fit for me.
At this price, I'll go back one lunchtime to try it again (need an excuse to upgrade).

I wouldn't say its a bargain, but at this price it may be worth considering.
