    now this is interesting

    • I want to hang shit on it, but not sure if it's taking the piss?

I'm a Xiaomi Toilet, short and stout.
Here is my handle, here is my spout!
When i get steamed up, hear me shout
bend on over and i'll flush you out!

Almost as good as last time

Nice to see he/she has taken the previous comments on board and revised it slightly.

Xiaomi: We're number 1 with your number 2s.

    • Ah, toilet humour, the staple of six year olds.

We have spent 9 Months time setting up the Australian certifications…

Time to rename business from Gearbite to ClearShite

  • Neato.

  • Hey Rep,

Does this work fine with a flexi connector? My current tap is 10cm from the ground but also 90 degrees left facing. Will the Tee connector and all others work just fine in this angled situation?

    Thanks

    • Your measure would be fine. Please check parts at photo11.

      • Hey Rep does this have backflow protection? Other than using smart phone is there a remote controller?

  • Well that's annoying. Bought one from last deal from their store and still hasn't arrived yet and this is already cheaper….

    • When did you buy?
I ordered last week’s deal at the same price $339, and I’ve already received it.
In fact, got it 3 or 4 days ago.

Is there a list of models that this fits?

      • Honestly, you guys should get a list of compatible toilets, you would sell quite alot more.

        • Everyone have different one, if anyone can message me compatible toilet seat, i will happy to do summary.

          • @Gearbite: Yeah i understand that, but if there was some specific examples - Like i'm building a house and don't own a toilet yet.

        • not sure why you were downnvoted for that, but that is very valid i'm sure alot of people dont buy as not sure if it will fit

          • +2

@asa79: Honestly, as a consumer if i had a budget set for a toilet and they provided a few examples, I'd buy this instantly.
Was just a suggestion, people get mad on here haha

It would be more useful if you created a list of compatible toilets from the common models sold in Aus plumbing supply shops. People like me who are planning new houses want to select models that are compatible.

  • I bought one on the last sale, i received it pretty quickly but what i would recommend is checking that its possible to get to your bolts for your toilet lid. When looking at my toilet you cannot physically get to the bolts that hold the toilet lid down so ill need to pull the toilet away from the wall which is alot of work. Now im just weighing up if its worth just installing a new toilet anyway while im at it. Just my two cents.

    • There is almost certainly a way to remove the seat from the top if the bolts are inaccessible from below. Many have a slide or twist function on the top brackets,,, it had to be installed with the same issue so there is a way!

  • +1

Let me know when you release one with gesture control so it can raise and lower the seat by waving your hand over the toilet. When I think of smart toilet seat, motorised raising and lowering of the seat should be feature number 1.

    • Just sit down to pee. Problem solved.

  • Ordered 8th Jan, supposed to receive it 10-14 Jan and haven't even reached WA yet… Still in Vic

Mate you know the Eyre highway was closed for 12 days right? Assuming it was road freight I would guess that is the issue.

      • Haha probably right. Thought it would have been on a plane

Do a lot of people have a PowerPoint near their toilet seat? If I got this, I would have to run an extension lead from the vanity power point

    • @markng89 - I’m wondering the same thing.

    • You will probably need a sparky to install one

      • Asa79 - I live in an apartment.

Do you know if they could do this?

        • You might have to ring one and ask, guessing you would have normal powerpoints near your vanity or something, so they should be able to extend the connection from that

    • what are the standards for powewrpoints in bathrooms?

  • can these be self installed? or is a plumber/electrician required?

    • Easy to install by yourself if have power supply nearby.

Hi OP, you’re mentioning that Australian certificate has been secured.
Do you mind sharing Watermark certificate number please?

    Thanks and regards

Found on another one of their posts.

      • Thank you. To all others, I’ve been audited by VBA and learned my lesson.
Hope you never experience the same.

Ripping out toilets and floors due to non watermark certificate is something I don’t wish to my worst enemy.

        Have a nice day

Edit: here’s actual documentation based on license number provided above:

  • How do these compare to Totos?

    • +1

They don’t, Toto is #1 worldwide

      • Are Totos only for their domestic market or are compatible with Australian toilets?

The toilets in Japan were just amazing.

  • VERY long shot…

Is there any way you could provide a .dwg block (AutoCAD drawing)? Caroma provide them for their toilets and one for the toilet seat would allow the pan and the seat to be overlaid to see how they match up.

    • You can probably work that out based on the measurements

  • Appreciate all that hard work setting up a toilet for "Australian" conditions. Now I have learned something?
Used many bum cleaners both in Europe and Japan.
At least in Japan they have come as far as to recognise that the 2 genders eliminate in their own way. Floor toilets have the hood as exciting girls might shoot forwards hence the shape. Men need a bit of room at the front. At least some. Is there any at your model?

  • Does this have backflow protection? Notice the one Bunnings sells mentions this.

  • For anyone that bought this, did anyone have an issue there the seat cover can't stand up due to the water tank being in the way? Anyone have solutions? I can lean on it but it will keep falling onto my back.
