Bunnings have plenty of gas torches. Get one that connects to a 220g gas cannister.

    • its strange that U should mention that because this is One of my main concerns -weather it is safer to get one with or without the Butane gas can connected - sometimes Filing the refill canister can be Trouble & also careful that the so called standard nozzle on the Butane cans Fits in the Filling slot - one thing is that the complete Bakers torch without the connected Butane canister Look more Professional.
But then with the Butane can connected -we don't know how easy it is that our Bakers Torch top part will fit any type of Camping Butane cans -as Makers of these do Not always stick to standard attachments.

  • Most Tobacconist would sell similiar type of Jet Lighters too for a fraction of the price.

  • Basically any store which sells Homewares / Kitchenwares - Matchbox / Bamix to name a few…

As Mentioned, get one from Bunnings.

    Don't get this one - https://www.bunnings.com.au/gasmate-butane-fire-lighter-torc…

    Get this one below

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/tradeflame-220g-handy-blow-torch…

The Gasmate one has a flimsy plastic notch that breaks after a few uses.

    • I agree 100%. When we bought the Gasmate one home it failed almost instantly. Literally took it straight back to Bunnings and got a Tradeflame one, still going years later.

  • Thank you for your quick Responses. I think forums.whirlpool.net.au and www.austech.info/ should be closed Down Permanently as they are both run & managed by Incompetent AsXXXXX & due to their stupidity caused alot of their members to migrate to this excellent Aussie discussion Forum on Products.

Well that is an overreaction. I have seen these torches in my local House store. Whirlpool.net.au is not really the best place for asking a quick question like this, it's more of a discussion forum. I'm not sure what happened that got you so angry at them, but I feel as a long time user your opinion is a bit uncalled for.
