13% Cash Back for Beaurepairs Tyres using Plastiq Secure Cashback App

30

I was looking for tyres and noticed this new cashback provider that can be used in store as well as on line. Although the beaurepairs offer is online-only, there are many cash back providers that all you to claim cash back in store.

Some of the offerings are not as good as other providers, but I like this one as a few stores allow cashback for shopping in real life (Pizza Hut 7%, Shaver Shop 3%, Best & Less 5%).

That *.it domain does nothing to instil confidence….why in gods name wouldn't they go with .au?

The site, nor the app allows you to browse participating stores and their cashback rates without first registering (which involves providing your phone number).

    • The site doesn't allow you to browse cashback either even after you sign up. Only through the app. Such a mess. Discussion here

      • Indeed, and only 100 downloads of their Android app, I don't think CR / SB will be too worried.

  • Does it work with the Goodyear 3 for 4 offer ?

  • Sketchy.. have to provide them with your bank log on and password. Not even an Australian company

They're definitely Aussie - Andrew Banks is an investor. Personally don't think they'll be successful (they're setting up an equity crowdfunding I believe through Birchal and can't believe they have many users at all)

Any compeition in this space is good for consumers.

      • Oh ok yeah actually does look like it, however if you ever have to do a charge-back or dispute a fraudulent transaction down the track most banks will deny you.. bit risky

        • You only need to provide them with an Australian bank account if you want to get cashback for shopping in store. Otherwise, you can accumulate cashback online and then direct them to send the payment via Paypal.

It has Andrew from Dragons Den on board as an investor. And they are an Australian Startup. But the website choice was a bad idea.

website choice was a bad idea.

They've registered the com.au domain, but then opt to divert it to an Italian domain just so they can have a cute play on words. Odd.

Notwithstanding all that, 13% is a very generous discount for tires.
